Is this really Super Bowl team?

Shocker

No one knows who the Superbowl team is,..

The Giants have won 2 the last decade, Steelers 2008, Packers(and they were a 10-6 team), and several others that NO ONE would have given merit to.

There are 14-2 teams that have gone out the first round(Colts with the Sheriff, the great Matty Ice and a few others) and a 15-1 indestructible Steelers that went out handily too.

Teams flake out or get hot at just the right time.  Phily had no business being hot and winning a Superbowl last year given their MVP went down,.  Remember when all we could do is BEG to play them because it gave us a chance instead of losing to the Saints in the dome again?  Phily was the team, not the Saints and not Minni with their miracle in tow.

I wouldnt write off any team going to the playoffs  boo land,..

my thing is,...we have to get to the playoffs first. Right now the question is, do the team come back and HULK SMASH the Lions or do they whimper the rest of the season(or have other teams smash them after the tape from Pittsburgh?)

way too many homers on here , i was furious when we beat the bucs and giants after our defense looked terrible , this aint no superbowl team . this might be one of the best panther offenses but this defense is hands down one of the worst defenses i have ever seen . on defense we cant stop the pass at all its getting me so mad , same issue last season too where we were dead last vs the pass , is it really our talent ? id say a little but its more of coaching issues and thats on rivera with the soft zone coverage , people were acting like bradberry was a damn lock down corner vs mike evans i wasnt buying it , i think bradberry is a very average corner never compare him to 2015 norman not even close , donte is good but hes no lock down either . our fan base overrates our team and players , im as realistic as it comes . i doubt we make the playoffs but all i ask as a miserable panther fan thats sick of losing every year  is for them just to make the playoffs thats all i want, just want the feeling that we have a chance to make it all the way , unless a miracle happens on defense we aint winning anything and sad thing is it was always the other way around , now we have a good offense with a terrible terrible terrible defense that cant stop the pass at all or rush the passer .

I like your optimism and I want to believe we will get right eventually but we've already used up a lot of cam and Luke already. How much longer do they have?

Both players should have at least 5 good years left. Luke is only questionable because of his concussion history. I've seen QBs and MLBs play at a high level well into their thirties.

Still a lot of season left, but if you pushed me for an answer right now I'd say no.

I've seen how good teams like the Saints, the Rams, the Chiefs and yes, the Steelers are. Believing we could win the Super Bowl means thinking we're good enough to compete with teams of that caliber.

We're not.

Do you see the Panthers winning a playoff game in LA or NO?

Hell, they aren't invincible. Notwithstanding the terrible game against the Steelers, we still aren't patsies. We're a tough out, especially in December, January, and even February if you tell the truth.

Us vs the Saints or Rams, we're not going on the road and beating them since road games seem to be a problem. We can't win on the road, can't win in domes (hopefully we beat the Lions)

There's flaws in talent and scheme on defense. I'm just tired of Ron man. WE need new leadership, new style, new attitude. It goes back to training camp to me, we need a change there too.

Naturally people are down on the team after a blowout loss, but it is, in fact, a single loss in a 16 game schedule. And, all things considered, a good loss - non-conference, road game.

The question is whether this team can address the issues that led to this humbling. I think they can, but it's going to take some work and changes to the approach - especially on the defensive side.
