The Remaining Schedule...

Usually long weeks to prepare would give me more confidence, but not with Rivera's record after bye.  That said, That's a game we should win.  In fact, we should win the next 4 even with us having the worst game of the season last week.  4 straight gets us to 10-3, after that, I could see a scenario where we lose all 3, win all 3, but I'm gonna go 2-1 winning just home games making us 12-4.  Last night sucked, but at the end of the day it just counts as 1 loss, and on the road, on a short week against a team playing great ball.  Get poo together in Detroit and we're still in good positions.  Defense needs to wake the fug up and make career decisions because I foresee a gutting of D-line in particular if improvement isn't made.

If New Orleans has locked up, it could help with getting one playoff game. I'm almost convinced to let them win and see if someone else can go in and do the job. But it all comes down to how much better teams are able to scheme against us.

@ Detroit

vs. Seattle

W @ Tampa

W @ Cleveland

W vs New Orleans

W vs Atlanta

L @ New Orleans

12-4

Worst I can see is 10-6 with additional losses against NO and Atlanta

Detroit Seattle Tampa and Cleveland are just flat out worse teams than we are

I still believe we are Superbowl contenders and I think if we play the Chiefs or the Patriots we have a good chance of winning. We just can't play a team with a good speed rush

    • No one is asking him to be Tom Brady. They're just asking him to be as good if not better than Cooper Rush, Jimmy Garoppolo and Carson Wentz. We'd like Young to be better than Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield, but we're not even asking for that. No matter how you cut it he's going to be considered a bust for what was given up for him. He should be outpacing Cam Newton, Jake Delhomme and Kerry Collins game for game in their careers. He should at least be challenging the clutch level of Brady, Mahomes, Stafford, Goff, Garoppolo, Burrow, Hurts and Purdy. Remember that's based on the draft capital given up for Young, and not the extremely low bar Young has actually set for himself.
    • Even if you cherry pick Bryce post benching and ignore everything else and project it out over a full season….. there is no statistical  argument Kyler has ever been worse.   I’m no Murray fan as I agree he is more athlete than QB.   And I’m open to Bryce improving and support us continuing to develop him as this point.
    • We need LBs--build the roster from the bottom up.  On offense, we have Coker who has been huge...if you fill your weaknesse without having to use free agent $$$ or draft picks--win win.
