You should post less and read more. Might learn something

I could say the same for you, but hey man, I think it’s been long established that we have 2 very different opinions on this, yeah you’re out here puffing your chest out after every loss.

i thought we looked great until we gave up a 75 yard touchdown

God, within like 5-10 minutes I went from cautiously optimistic thinking we might have a chance to win this in the fourth to just accepting that this game ended before it started. What a nightmare.

How quickly things can change in a football game/season.

I wonder who raised all these points back in September??

yeah, it’s sucks being right some times, but glad other people are finally noticing what is going on and needs to happen.

just enjoy the good regular season and any playoffs wins we might get. Next year(I’ve been saying since the offseason) will be a youth movement. Hopefully it works out.

You aren't the only one who raised points and/or were keenly aware of the team's weaknesses.

As for me, I've always said that historically we won't know what kind of team we have until the end of September at the earliest, and more than likely until mid to late October. That's just pretty much the way it has been due to our inconsistencies and weaknesses throughout the years. It was the same under Hurney 1.0 and Gettleman. I think that---would like to think that we are on the precipice of getting that consistency and entering the top tier of teams under Hurney 2.0, but we'll see. We're going to have to shore up the O-line before we can be considered "for real." That's been the case for years now.

But anyway, personally I don't make projections before the season begins, and within that same vein, I think it's pretty pointless to set expectations, positive or negative, until we see what we're working with as a team on an island, and as compared to everyone else. Sometimes deficiencies can be masked pretty well. Unlike @Proudiddy, I think Rivera is more positive than negative because even with some pretty average to bad personnel, we've achieved more than I thought we could during his era.

On an off note, we had a real chance to "bring it on home," but Gettleman just screwed it up. Now we're a year to three years away.

We needed last night if we wanted any chance to go anywhere in the postseason. It pointed out flaws that our coaching staff continued to overlook. We have talent. Just need to use it correctly.

Bruh, these are the exact same flaws that Atlanta and New Orleans have been exploiting for years.

We began the season with a suspect O-line, then suffered injuries which made things worse. There was no LT to get this past offseason, and that's still our biggest weakness.

Bradberry is not a shutdown corner, and never has been. He is hot and cold. Adams is playing fairly well, but he is getting old. And, speaking of old, our legit edge rushers aren't getting any younger. A youthful talent infusion is essentially a must.

Our weaknesses bit us in the butt against the Steelers, and unless we just flat out win some offensive wars, we aren't good enough to overcome those weaknesses against elite teams.

If we invest in the defense and especially the O-line this off-season, we will be ready to seriously and legitimately contend for a championship on both sides of the ball next season.

To win it all this season, we're going to have to outscore people, or miraculously become the Incredible Hulk on defense as opposed to David Banner.

Anything can happen though. I am still hoping that we can go all the way, but not counting on it. I'm going to enjoy my team for the rest of the season in any event.

Tomlin's staff found the weaknesses and developed a plan in 3 days.  We also had 3 days, and Pittsburgh has weaknesses that looked pretty strong last night.

Our offense for the most part looked fine. You can't compete with the other team's offense imposing their will on you though. I'm pretty sure they were scoring at will last night.
