Thursday night games

If you look at the Thursday night game scores just from this year, most of the games are blowouts and the NFL usually doesn't have many blowout games for Sunday/Monday games.

I'm not saying the Panthers didn't lay an egg because they certainly did, but Panthers are not this bad and Steelers are not this good.  The Panthers are still a strong playoff team and the Steelers are going to go deep in the playoffs, but we knew this before last night.  

My guess is most teams take the game tape for Thursday games and throw it in the trash can and if you heard Tomlin and RR's post game comments, they pretty much said this.  I quit watching Thursday night games last year because 90% of the games are bad football and last night was no different.

This is the only way, in my opinion, to have quality football on Thursday night.  No idea why the NFL doesn't do this.

16 game season really hurts the Thursday travel team. If this was the NBA Pops would just rest the starters on these short weeks.

Agreed, but let's be real here....  Pittsburgh had the same amount of prep time.
