Tepper talked all week showing up at practice how important this game is to him, then go out and embarrass him like that with possibly the worst azzkicking this team has ever had

Why does that make me laugh.  Not at Tep, but at the idea he hyped them up all week and they did to him what they've done to us for 2 decades.  LOL!  Maybe Tep has more sway than we do to effect some change?

I think any notion that Rivera is going to change his philosophy is a pipe dream.

as someone who actually doesnt have that big of an issue with Rivera, I will agree with that statement.

people also thought Norv was an old antique before the season, and I think we have seen enough to prove otherwise on that.

I think what Rivera really needs right now, is someone capable of calling the defensive game plan, which Washington is not. and his biggest mistake in this was when Wilks was plucked from us he went inside again when the pantry was bare.

I'm openly hoping that Wilks or McDermont get fired soon so we can get them(both are doing terribly as HC). Or Rivera just takes the defense over.

Finally a non-hot take... Washington may eventually be a good DC, but we can't risk it on this team with everything at stake... McDermott failed in Philly his first go-around and went on to become a great DC

McDermont wasnt that bad in Philly, he was just following a legend, and that just rarely works out.

We know what most of us here already know: we will never win a Super Bowl as long as Ron Rivera is our head coach.  We can win on talent alone & great plays by some great players (Cam , CMC, Luke, Gano in the Giants game, etc.) but we will have multiple games a year we will get outcoached and embarrassed and if Tepper wants a Super Bowl here, he needs to fire Rivera.  Everyone has a salary cap but coaches are the only way you can get an edge in this league, and we need a better coach.

Serious here not being a dick....

Have you actually analyzed this team objectively to include the new DC, OC, existing HC and his philosophy.
OL, DL

?

Absolutely, this one was a real shocker. Most of my dribble in here after a loss is reactionary. I should have waited an hour or so. But you can’t tell me we looked special tonight. A bad game is one thing, but this was on another level.

You're not wrong, but he was perceived as being bad by the impossible to please Philly fans.  Regardless, just trying to make the point Washington may be successful as a DC later on, but the stage seems too big for him at this point.

I'm not giving a pass to the players b/c they got to execute, but the playcalling tonight, especially on the play where we rushed 2, was egregiously bad

I've honestly not found anything by Washington to date to be impressive, if this loss does anything I hope it pushes rivera to either take control himself of the defense or replace washington with someone more capable.
