More likely would simply strip or scale back play-call and install duties, and letting him re-focus in positional coaching.

I could maybe see that happening if the decision is made by somebody other than Ron Rivera.

I still don't buy that Ron Rivera would do it

Forcing turnovers has covered for deficiencies before tonight, but that’s not going to work against Brees and Ryan. This defense has been bad all year. Terrible on 3rd downs, and the worst red zone defense in the league.

Firing Washington is certainly not an overreaction.  This team is still 6-3...

As embarrassing as this loss it, playoff still well within reach.

But defense has looked suspect all year, and this is unacceptable... let Ron call it or whatever.
