Bruce Irvin could realistically happen

Person says we have $2 mil in cap space available (somehow). Since the circlejerk for Wakanda has cooled off and Irvin looking to play for a team in contention and the Rams not having anymore room for DE, there's a good chance we sign him.

He can definitely rush the passer. I’d be for it.

I'm just not sure he's good enough to justify yet another shakeup on our defense. The pass rush has been revving up the last few games, really since the Redskins game it's showed a lot more juice. I think that momentum will continue as guys continue to get comfortable in their rush lanes.

Irvin isn't a DE. Perhaps he could be used to fill in on obvious pass rush downs but he would need to be signed for well below what he would likely ask for. He didn't fit in with the Raiders 4-3 base scheme so he was released. He won't fit in here either.

The year Greg Hardy had 16 sacks, in 12 games he was a non-factor.

I wouldn’t exactly say Gruden is on a hot streak when it comes to decision making in his new gig.

He can play DE, but you don't want to give him many snaps. We can use him a situational pass rusher. I say do it if it does not  hurt the books

They didn't drop him because he was playing lights out. They also weren't able to trade him in their recent fire sale.

Our D-line is building momentum and gelling with the players on hand.

We don't need him and he'd be a refurbishment project to bring him into our 4-3 system.
