Opinions: How do we beat the Saints?

Payton has owned our defense for a while now. He knows how to beat Rivera's system.

When we did beat them, we did so in shootouts, not defensive struggles. If we beat them this year, it'll probably be the same way.

Which I've said. The only game that was a defensive struggle was in 2013 in the NFCS Championship match-up, which was incredibly dull and then exuberance. The difference this season is that we have Norv rather than Shula.

The "hit Brees" crowd:

How do you plan to? The last 2 weeks, the Vikings and Rams have zero sacks. They have 15 sacks in the other games they played in that same time. Your pass rush has been lackluster all year, and don't have the Dline that either of those teams do, that the Saints absolutely dominated.

Saints have the best oline in football right now.

People won't like it, but.... Control the ball and ToP and win the turnover battle.

We won't like it because it won't get us the results we desire. That is basically bottling up our own team. Then if they score fast? We would have to change mindsets. Ram and Saints you absolutely have to out shoot them, and force them to make mistakes trying to keep up. We have the team to do this.

We don't play the aints next.  WTF?  Seriously, the aints are living rent free in some of y'all's heads.

We'll beat the living poo on them when we play them in the December.

Until then, we focus on the next team....steelers.  Just like the Eagle and Baltimore games, we are predicted to lose this one.  Lets shove it up their ass.

Be aggressive and score points. The offense has weapons now and I think they can keep up with the Saints even in a shootout. They put up 36 against one of the best defenses. The Saints are going to score but I think the defense can come up with just enough key stops.  Maybe get lucky and get a turnover or two. Carolina can beat them.

Win a shootout. We're not stopping them, we gotta be prepared to outscore them. Win the turnover battle.

If we come in with the right attitude to beat them at their own game we can do it. If we could in with a game plan to try to eat clock and play D we'll get rekt.

Or have someone kidnap Brees and Kamara

You guys get way ahead of yourselves-- There are a lot of games to play before getting to the Saints-- The Panthers have to take each week as its the most important or else the Saints wont matter.  The Saints have to take each week as most important or their games with the Panthers wont matter.

Those games are a long way off, anything could happen.  Brees does more dives and gets a concussion, Cam, Kamara, Michael Thomas, jeez there are so many scenarios between now and then.  Worry about the Saints when its time to play the Saints.

Right now, the Steelers are looking pretty hot-- Playing them is almost like playing the Saints. The Steelers are better than the Saints in a lot of ways so its a great litmus test for us.

coudlve sworn that was Kaelin Clay who dropped the TD that would have put us up early in that game

We probably win that one with our current WR core instead of the poo we trotted out on the field last year.

I totally agree! We have alot to be excited about. We matchup even better this year

Personally I think a big reason we signed Eric Reid will be setting the tone against these cheating retards. Officially hating the Saints more than the Falcons lately. At the same time, Atlanta needs to know their place and stay the fug back. Pretty annoyed that Washington couldn't take care of business yesterday. The NFL has made Brees the golden child this year. I think the only reason the Bucs beat them was because they were able to put up points.
