Red Zone Defense

I don't like to consider myself an alarmist but if we don't solve our defensive issues in the red zone we are gonna get smoked by better teams.

Other than having a safety or DB come of there man. No way Luke or any other LB gets out in time to cover that TE while fighting thru slant traffic.

"Smoked"?  I doubt that.  Besides, teams still gotta get to the red-zone and we're top 10ish in points allowed.  

It's concerning, but I'm sure it will correct itself over the season.  I trust Rivera's defensive knowledge to get it fixed.

They had an extra play than most would in that situation. In a normal situation, that's a field goal given up, so I'm not overly concerned. Plus it gives us reason to keep scoring on Offense

What are you talking about? The hallmark of this defense this year has been giving up yards between the 20s and then tightening up in the redzone.

Would have been nice to pick up a pass rusher so we can actually get some pressure without blitzing. We'll just have to try to score a bunch with the better teams.. I think we can

Need to stop bunching the LBs in the middle and let Davis & Shaq play outside to cover the underneath stuff from TEs & RBs.
