It's not so much him tanking as it is him blowing up the roster and starting from scratch with the number 1 pick.  For a coach who can't be fired, it's actually a smart move.  He's going to get his guy at QB and build the team the way he envisions it.  He has a long term plan.

He isn’t coaching for this year or even next, his plan is to have that team rolling when it opens in Vegas in 2020.

its actually really smart. Panthers intentionally tanked it in the lockout year and that helped us become what we are today.

Yep he basically knows that Carr isn't a NFL QB and so he's going to collect picks and rebuild. I just wish we would have traded CJ and Smith like Gruden has done so we could have built Cam a line and got him help at WR. Still that's something JR would have never allowed.

Luckily I believe we have the most progressive owner in the League(not just the richest), don’t doubt that the Reid move wasn’t noticed by many players, Tepper got a lot of instant respect for how he handled that with the Players.

Moves like that will help us become more of a destination team for FA’s. That kind of stuff matters regardless of which side of the political fence you sit on.

(yes I still hate politics in my sports, just stating the factual benefit of what Tepper has done, nothing more or less)

Hopefully we will make a offer to him. I mean it would give him a chance at a SB.
