There's no debate. If the kneeling hurts your feelings, don't watch it. The football never stopped...kind of like your incessant whining, it's been going on the whole time.

I have plenty of tissue boxes. Do you need one. Same applies to end the kneeling hurts your feelings, don't watch it. Kind of a revolving door wouldn't you say.

Not really, no. You said you wished they'd get back to football. They never stopped playing football. You're not being honest about why you want them to stop. You know you're against it for the wrong reasons, and it makes you feel bad deep down inside. Telling someone they shouldn't exercise their right to free speech should offend everyone, but you're happy with the status quo, for now, so you want others to just shut up so you can enjoy yourself. That's a very short-sighted and small-minded point of view.

The way I see it, what kind of country would we live in if we were forced to stand?

I don't have to agree or support it, but when we force our values on others and use authority and power to do it, we become worse than the protestor.  That seems to be Rivera's perspective.

Whether people are protesting or standing are equal on encouraging either one. If you don't stand for Anthem you are wrong. If you don't kneel for police brutality you are wrong. Damned if you do and damned if you don't.

All the protesting and kneeling has let the country know the reason it is going on and now it is time for the players to do what they are paid for and play football and end the on field kneeling already..

Yes we all know the reason, but absolutely nothing is being done about it. So why stop kneeling??? I saw it all the time in NC and SC when I lived there and I seen it all the time here in Texas. It's a major issue that isn't going away till it's fixed.

If that means having police go through more training or more intensive psychiatric screening then so be it but steps need to be made and nothing is happening at all.

So I don't see a point in any one stopping protesting because America doesn't seem concerned about the issue itself just the fact a few players kneeled and decided to take a stand against all in the injustice in America.

That was the entire premise behind Newton’s article. He’s terrible and this is click bait gold.

exactly...and most of that mining came from here. Why oh why do ppl share links and help support these writers when they write poo like this? The desire for pie seems to outweigh the ability to not help support hack writers on their hack articles.

Sorry but Ron DOES have a choice in having an issue with it, just like Eric has a choice in whether he kneels or not.

I agree with this statement but even if Ron does have an issue with it.  Ron is a level headed adult and realizes that he can compartmentalizations and deal with it without escalation.

It’s a “ I may not agree with your actions but respect you and the rights afforded to you” kind of mentality that adults and professionals should possess in life.

That’s all well and good. Intentionally, kneeling is still not disrespectful. Intent cooresponds more with being objective than opinions do.

That's your opinion and your ignorance shows in your post. No one person can say what is or what isn't offensive. I think the whole situation proves you wrong with droves of people not watching the NFL anymore because of it.

lmfao ratings are up, almost nobody stopped watching and those who did were replaced by new fans with a better moral compass.
