Yes, McNair is a racist. I don't think you are necessarily trying to be the tone police. The issue is that what you said about Reid is exactly the kind of mindset that the owners wanted directed toward the kneeling all along. They wanted to pit not only players against each other, but make kneeling players look bad to fans, and ultimately undermine the entire cause. It seems to have worked well.

Kneeling does absolutely nothing and proves nothing. The kneeling is just "look at me, look at me". It is the cause that means something and what is being done for the cause.

Bruh, I wasn't gonna say anything but I had similar concerns.

Y’all do know he was trolling those other guys, right? The ‘relative’ in the first pic was that soldier that hung himself after being convicted for raping and murdering a 15 yr old Iraqi girl and murdering her family. The second one was one of the guys in charge at Abu Ghraib and the third was the officer responsible for the My Lai massacre in Vietnam.

No issue if he kneels but I swear no one actually knows what the 1st amendment actually grants rights to. It’s the government that can’t do anything, not a private employer. He could if he wanted to.

Sorry pet peeve.

Yep, totally agree with this. They don’t have to pay you to kneel. Haha!

You could go back in time and see bigots saying this exact sentence about every public protest that has ever occurred.

Not to mention that kneeling has now proven to be a more powerful tactic to get people to talk than say a riot in Baltimore.

Kneeling is not and never will be part of a protest.

misquoted everfrost earlier. I would like to know who decides this, though. is there some list of approved protest strategies?

I guess whoever wrote it. Why quote me on something I didn't type? I said he would get better results gonna a different route instead of being a attention whore.

misquoted you before, but what route should he take? isn't the point of any protest, demonstration, act of civil disobedience (a tried and true tactic used by many true patriots of our past) to gain attention?

what should he have done and what makes your idea any better at getting the point across than his?

I am saying the message is lost. Blame people , blame the media etc. More people talk about the knee and the flag then the reason for the knee. i just feel like i said before there could be other ways to actually get the message out, to go along with what he is doing. Media Interviews ,Free  E-books, Gather more people who believe in the cause and spread the word. By all means he can take the knee it is his right and as long as his employer is okay with it.

Also my reasoning behind the words attention whore is. He has the attention now. Say something or do so something with it otherwise it will all be for nothing.

Let me take a second to tell you about some of the real lives affected by Eric's actions. Putting your knee on the ground is NOT and NEVER WILL BE a victimless crime. (If I can understand that at age 18, why can't a full "grown" man like Eric Reid?)

This is my cousin Steve, who took his own life less than  a decade after his life was forever changed during fighting in Mahmudiya, Iraq:

This is my uncle Charles, who was wounded (lost eight fingers, still can only use his thumbs and one index finger) defending our country in the Battle of Abu Ghraib:

And this is my grandfather, Lt. Calley, who died bravely fighting the Nazis in Vietnam:

Though many people think the flag and anthem of the United States are the flag and anthem of all American people, they are actually intended as the flag and anthem of the United States Military and our brave first responders. If you haven't died protecting your country, you simply do not understand what they mean. They are not your flag and not your anthem.

These are the people Eric Reid is spitting on when he KNEELS like a bitch rather than STANDS like a man.

Sorry everything they did is defined by a piece of cloth. Are you also mad that the nfl wouldn’t “recognize them” if it wasn’t in the name of recruitment & advertising?
