Well I have to give the Saints credit. They had the home field and ref advantage, and ended up pretty much flipping my script in their favor. It helped me out with Brees and Kamara on my fantasy team, lol.

I still think they are peaking now and will still drop 2-3 games over their next 4-5. They can barely stop anyone's offense, and just hang their hopes on overpowering opposing defenses.

Teams are going to start keying on Michael Thomas too. He's probably that one dude I hate the most on that quad, and he ain't getting away with his junk once Donte and James get on him.

I'll give credit where it is due, though. It is going to be hella tough to beat them in NO, and we can only hope that we stomp them in Charlotte when we get the chance. Otherwise we might see another postseason visit to NO, and nobody here wants that. They are giving Brees his Peyton Manning-esque redemption-victory hype tour now.

Ref advantage? C’mon now, you know that game was officiated evenly and the refs swallowed their whistles when there could’ve been DPI on the Rams that ended some of our drives and DPI on the Saints which ended some of their drives.

They lost both TOP and the turnover battle, that’s why they lost. Period. Had Payton not gone full Rivera and went conservative in the 3rd quarter, we would’ve put 50+ on them.

As for Thomas, if that’s the case y’all better put Bradberry and Jackson on him at the same time. Thomas took Peters’ lunch money repeatedly during that game. Don’t see either of them being clearly better than Peters.

I still see a split happen in Weeks 15 and 17, each team taking their home game.

Oh 100% they’re both better than Peters.

Other than a stretch in 2016, Peters has been very much mediocre. Only reason he gets recognition is due to his interceptions. He’s in no way shape or form a lockdown guy.

Actually, both Jackson and Bradberry have been better than Peters this year. Rams D was way overrated.

The Rams have played 6 teams with more than 2 wins. In those 6 games they’ve given up 6 98+ yard WRs and 13 WR TDs. We’ve given up 2 90+ yard games to OBJ and Boyd and 90% of Boyd was on a shitty backup S. AJ Green, Julio Jones and Mike Evans have a total of like 140 yards.

Our biggest issues have been the backup S and nickel CB. Again, both our CBs have been better than Peters who has been a bottom tier CB this year.

Well like Colston before him, Thomas does line up in the slot a considerable amount. Hope y’all not still trotting Munnerlyn out to the slot.

Maybe so, but it remains to be seen.

Thomas averaged 14.4 yards/reception in our 3 games last year, now I know Bradberry wasn’t in direct coverage of him every snap, but he is y’all LCB and Thomas is heavily on the offense’s right. I’m sure Jackson will mostly draw the fastest of our WR’s who, with Ginn on IR, would be TreQuan Smith.

It’ll be some entertaining matchups to say the least. Certainly looking forward to how it plays out.

Saints largely exploited Wilks weird fetish of playing base personnel all the time and lining Thomas against Shaq Thompson without a second thought. Plus adding we blitzed predictably and too often, it was easy pickings for Brees.

We’ll see, just wanted to note how overrated Peters and the Rams defense has been even after adding all those names. There’s a reason KC was willing to part with him aside from the personality issues. They had 0 in reserve. He made a splash with the INTs as a rookie, but every time I watched him he’d get beat easily as well. I think people have a book on him now and he’s just easier to beat.

Oh I absolutely agree their defense was/is overrated. I said once they started acquiring all the big names that there was going to be no chemistry and things would be hunky dory... as long as they’re winning. The first moment of adversity and they’ll be pointing the finger at each other due to the me-first players they went out and got: Talib, Peters, Cooks, Suh, ect.

LOL, Wilks probably had his hand in his pocket and getting off like that Chargers security guard watching the cheerleaders.

How about this. If the Saints haven't dropped 3 L's on their record within their next 6 games, quote this post and I will ban myself from logging in for a week.

Welp, lol. I don't see the Saints dropping the next three to the Falcons, Cowboys, and Bucs.

Congrats to the Saints fans that lurk here. Your team is clearly the team to beat in the NFC, and possibly the NFL. Meanwhile, my Panthers are pretenders until the coaches and defense pull their heads out of their asses and Devin Funchess learns how to catch. I've always eaten my crow here when it is due, so I'll own it this time too.

I'll go ahead exile myself once we get the Huddle Pick'em thread up today and I can make my picks. Then I won't log in for a week.

For the record, I still think the Panthers have the talent to make the end of the year interesting. But, they are going to have to fix quite a bit to come close.

Haha, I was thinking of this thread the other day and depending on how Thursday night went, I was going to bump it Friday morning once it was official.

And agreed, I still think our two games in Week 15 and 17 will be interesting since we likely won’t be able to rest starters even if we already have the division due to the Rams keeping pace with their weak schedule ahead.

But you’re a good man honoring your bet. Much respect!

:)
