 here's to hoping Rapsheet was wrong.

An injured big toe would really hurt his ability to explode off the line. I'm not even sure you would want him to play if even if he could. He would likely be more of a negative than a positive. There is also the risk of making it worse than it already is.

Rookie thinking he’s fine and ignoring doctors would be awesome, and frankly not surprising with Payton running the show.

He hurt it in the 3rd quarter and played through it. Underhill is saying he's still getting opinions.

He recorded a sack after the injury in the last game. I hope he's smart about it, but it wouldn't be the first time Rap has been wrong on Saints news.

Yeah, but stuff like that always gets worse and tightens up once the adrenaline wears off

Agreed. I don't think the Saints will push it either way. Theres depth on the dline. But him playing through it, and having success, gives you some hope.

More of what I was getting at is, if they haven't ruled him out for Sunday, a month seems a bit far fetched.

Played through plenty of injuries the day I suffered them but starting the next day it would put me on the shelf for a few weeks.

Not a game changing loss for them but significant nonetheless, as they have very little depth behind him. Especially considering their upcoming schedule:

vs Rams

at Bengals

vs Eagles

vs Falcons

at Cowboys

at Bucs

I can't see them getting out of that better than 3-2, and possibly worse.

We really need to take care of business in our upcoming games:

vs Bucs

at Steelers

at Lions

vs Seahawks

at Bucs

at Browns

Should not lose more than one of those (most likely Steelers if any). Good opportunity to make up some ground on the Aints and possibly surpass them. Most think the division comes down to our meetings in week 15 and 17 but I think this upcoming stretch of game is more important. If we can come out ahead here all we'll need to do is beat the Aints at home and the division is ours, regardless of what happens week 17.

4 road games in the next 6. Don't care how bad some of the teams are, going 5-1 for that stretch would be surprising. Still think we are due for our annual stinker like the Bears game last year. I would be happy with 6-3 to finish the season and 11-5 overall.

Damn I had forgotten that they're playing the Eagles, Falcons, AND Rams at home. What a draw. At least we get to host Seattle.

Eagles in New Orleans is due to the schedule rotation, we went there in 2015. They come here this year.

Seahawks in Charlotte is due to y'all both finishing 2nd in the division last year. Same reason the Rams are coming to New Orleans (1st place), the Cardinals are going to Atlanta (3rd place), and the 49ers are going to Tampa Bay (4th place). Each of the NFC West teams traveling to one NFC South team and each NFC South team travels to one NFC North team (Saints-Vikings, Panthers-Lions, Falcons-Packers, Buccaneers-Bears).

And they got Steelers at home we have to go to Pissburgh on a short week...

Boohoo, I didn't hear any sympathy from y'all in 2014 when we had to play the Packers on Sunday night then travel to Charlotte to play y'all on Thursday night. At least y'all playing the Buccaneers at a 1 p.m. start time as opposed to a 8:20 p.m. start time.

I'm not so sure of that. The Saints have been good and down right lucky. I mean Baltimores kicker had not missed a kick since high school.

Still had :24 seconds and two timeouts to drive at least 36 yards into Lutz' range (and would be kicking with the wind instead of against it). Ravens couldn't stop the Saints offense in that 4th quarter so it was very feasible.

Check again

Apologies, meant to say the Bucs instead of the Steelers, but my point still stands.

1 p.m on Sunday followed by a Thursday night game much easier than a Sunday night game followed by a Thursday night game.

It’s an extra 1/3rd of a day of rest and preparation.

Saints are one of the only teams ever to play an away game on Sunday then play an away Thursday game.
