ESPN says we have an 80 percent chance of winning vs Tampa. Anyone else worried about the possibility of a trap game?

I'm sure the media pundits are going to overwhelming select us to win. We're on a long home winning streak, nobody believes in Tampa. Panther players are probably high on themselves after pulling out crucial games vs Eagles and Ravens.

Almost every single damn time I think a game is going to be a trap game it is (Bears last season, Washington this season, also Tampa last season). Add in the fact that we're facing a division rival who can throw deep and explode on offense at any given time, I don't think this is going to be the cakewalk that most people believe.

I'm actually really curious to see how our defense does against Tampas passing offense. Is Donte Jackson going to stay on Desean Jackson the whole game? Is Bradberry going to get rosted by Mike Evans again? Will we put any pressure on Fitzpartrick early?

I'm thinking the team might also be looking over their shoulder at this huge Steelers game on Thursday.  I smell a trap and I hope the team takes Tampa seriously and plays hard and motivated as they did in the 4th vs the Eagles and against the Ravens last weekend.

I think this game will tell us a lot--we have 4 road games in the next five weeks after this--it is a great time to be hitting their stride--so many new players getting familiar with the system and each other.

TD is back, Reid is improving each week, Jackson and Moore are becoming rookie phenoms, Samuel is back, CMC is improved, the OL is coming together, Olsen is back, Norv and Cam are understanding each other, etc. They are good enough to beat anyone on any field.

All signs say we route them.  On the other hand, we tend to play to the level of the competition.  Funny--it seems every year, Tampa is a huge disappointment.

To be honest, Every game worries me.. Especially when the team is so wishy-washy. Hopefully they've turned a corner

This is exactly how I fell as well. No game is a gimme, they are professionals too and Fitz has been balling out. If our O performs like they did against the Ravens, we will be fine. This may be a high scoring affair.

Only game Cam has lost to the Bucs at home I believe was week 17 in 2016 when he was playing with a bum shoulder and we were clearly tanking at that point and only wound up losing because Greg dropped an easy game winning 2 point conversion... Not at all concerned about this being a trap game.

Fitzmagic scares me. He is always at his best filling in or when the starting job is up in the air. Fitztragic comes out once he is named the starter going forward. We are in prime Fitzmagic territory.

He was terrible against the Steelers until garbage time and that was basically his audition for the starting job.

    • Film Room Playlist _ NFL Pro — Mozilla Firefox 2024-11-25 10-20-11.mp4 🎯🎯🎯 There were a couple of "fans" yesterday saying that this wasn't a helmet-to-helmet shot... 👀 Looks like based on where Moore was and where the play ended, he'd have gotten maybe just a yard or two more. Chuba was downed at the KC 16 and Moore was on his way back to the QB, so the offense got what they could for the most part. After reviewing the all-22, Bryce made the right call here. Tremble was the hot and KC sent both LBs. He gets it out with a clear pocket but it's quickly collapsing. If there was a little more time it looked like AT came free at the end but whether or not Bryce would've been upright still is another story. Smart move to get the completion and keep the field goal in play to stay alive. George Karlaftis is about to get himself a big ole hug and Bryce heaves it to where David Moore is going. Trent McDuffie slipped just a step or two before this shot, but we can see the clear DPI here as he's wrapped around David Moore before knocking him over as the ball gets there.
    • I’m taking a TE early day 3 Ian Thomas and Tremble are FA.  We should have no desire to bring them back.   There’s more than enough film of ball bouncing off their hands or facemask.
    • Daniel Jones sometimes would sling it for 300 or 400 yards.  That's my stance.  We know what Bryce is.  If you consistently play any QB at this level, they largely are going to end up w/ some good days/games.  last time Mahomes was at BOA, Teddy Bridgwater threw for 300+ yards and a couple TDs and the Matt Rhule Panthers almost took him down.  We know what Bryce is.  Now we got people predictably falling into a predictable trap.
