Fire Rivera fanboys must be on vacation

That was already in the making from delhomme Stewart beason and DeAngelo contracts. He didn't sign those guys, hurney did. And he has seen 3 GM changes, hurney been there twice and gettlemania 1 time.

That's not "three GM changes". Heck, it's not even three different GMs.

Rivera is also not losing coordinators "every year". He lost Chudzinski early but McDermott didn't get hired until several years later. Wilks and McGaughey were hired away after but their replacements we're already on deck.

And of course, Shula wasn't "lost". He was fired, and years later than he should have been.

this. rivera frustrates me at times with his lack of aggression, but i think learning to be aggressive is much easier than finding a coach that is at least as good as him; much less a better coach.  rash decisions tend to backfire and rarely work out.  take the browns, for example.

Rivera has been here enough years that I don't think you could call firing him now "rash".

My only complaint is his resistance to allow younger talent an opportunity to develop while allowing mediocre talent to be...  mediocre.

Allowing younger talent to develop?  What about DJackson, Van Roten, Moton, bringing along Moore slowly, 'til he's mastered the playbook?  I don't see Silatolu on the field any more, do you?

that's fair, i see your point now.  i have the utmost faith in Tepper making the right call.  you don't get to his level of success by making poor decisions.

Granted, although sadly that doesn't guarantee that whatever decision he makes will be the right one. Tepper could choose to fire Rivera or he could choose to keep him, and either one could backfire.

I just hope he puts a lot of thought into whatever he does.

looooool Ron didnt want DJ. The rest are playing due to injuries. Ron has been forced into every good outcome he has been apart of. The absurd sequence at the end of the half is a perfect analogy to Rons head coaching career.

I mean this is a literal result of Torrey Smith getting injured, Cam Newton doing what he does, and finally getting the right personnel on the field while Norv got to control the offense.

Rivera's hardly the reason.

Why do people make statements like this like they are in the know?  Are you saying that Norv hasn't had control of the offense in any game except the last one?

It's one thing to vilify a man with facts but to constantly throw conjecture in there seems a bit much to me.

Not exactly conjecture. Listen to Ron Rivera’s comments prior to Norv’s hire, saying he wants to see more “ground and pound” in the offense and the such, and it’s clear lots of our forced attempted runs have been on Ron.

However, since the Panthers were successful with Cam running the show, it seems Rivera’s letting his leash off a little more.

Nobody doubts that Ron likes a conservative approach.  But it's NOT clear "lots of our forced attempted runs have been on Ron."  How is it clear?  It's just more conjecture.  And what exactly is a forced attempted run?  Should we just throw the ball every down?  Are the runs that don't work on Ron and the ones that do work on Norv?

Rivera has started plenty of rookies like McCaffrey, Newton, Bradberry, and a slew of others. Problem is rookies make mistakes more often than veterans.
