Fire Rivera fanboys must be on vacation

and some people seem so scared things will get worse, they refuse to see both sides, which i can't understand that thinking, not in football.   we survived a 1-15 season, we survived rodney peete, jimmy clausen, and david 'do my gloves look good, how about my hair' carr. we can survive anything if it gets us a ring in the long run, and we can get that monkey off our backs.

Yes and these are #1 draft picks not bottom dwellers. If you felt that he wasn't starting material then why pick him knowing that we needed a wr. We wastedalot of draft pics on defe since players hat didnot start and now that it's time they are not producing like the should. Just barely good to be rotational players. Let them learn while they are eager.

We should have just handed DJ Moore the #1 WR spot and forced him the ball day one. Because that worked out very well last time we did.

I’ll take Moore still having his “legs” in Dec-Jan. over getting some stats in September games. One of which he cost us. He was raw coming out and had to learn all three spots. JuJu Smith-Schuster had less production at this point last year. A couple weeks ago everyone was pissed we didn’t take Ridley. Now, Rivera is a failure for not playing him and making sure he hits the “rookie wall”.

Ok....let’s hear your plan? I’ll listen.

You just fired Rivera. Right now. What’s next? And then? I have to assume that as much thought as you have put into this, you have a ideal replacement in mind.

Yet we are passing the ball more than at any time during the Shula era. Who is telling who to do what again? How does this work.

We'e been behind in most of our games with time not being on our side so of course we have been passing.  Ron trust Norv they kind of in the same boat. Norv isn' a pass crazy coordinator. This is why he chose Norv.

i thought i got banned there for a few minutes.  couldn't sign in.    my plan would be to let tepper and his people handle the interview process and pick an offensive minded candidate for once.  i think there are a lot of great dc's that are, or will be available as the league moves from defensive minded head coaches to offensive.    i think we have a team and the weapons to be great.  we have crapped out a decent o line somehow, and finally kind of addressed the safety position.  i'm also leaning towards a younger more vibrant coach.   not now,  probably not even at the end of the season depending on how everything shakes out.   now, maybe norv with all these weapons will get the o where it needs to go and ron will let them play and stop dragging his feet when we have a lead.   the rules have changes so much i don't really believe in ground and pound anymore, not as a dominating philosophy.   if ron can adapt, or let others do their job without stifling them, i think he can get us there.  i hope he can adapt and we don't have to go through that.  i really do.  we will see.  he's an old dog.  but if he can't get us there with the talent at qb and mlb and all theses weapons, he will have really been a disappointment in the end.  we need a gd ring.   we need it out of this bunch before our window with cam closes.

I did not say make him the # 1 wr I said exchange snaps with Torrey more. Number 1 draft picks should play not sit on the bench and watch unless you are QB and even that is of question depending on who your starting QB is. Moore should have had more playing time and targets this is what everyone is saying. Some people just play better in game time. I wasn' mad at the turnovers he had bc really this was his first time getting any real significant time. If he had played from game 1 the kinks would more than likely been gone.

not reading this entire thread but I need to mention how idiotic it was to not try for the FG the first time right before the half.

Gano's kick would have easily been good from whatever that distance was, I think about 56 yards or so....and Ron would have rather had the backup throw a hail mary pass instead after having some sort of brain aneurysm on national television. My god he was lucky Greg Olsen and Heinke bailed his ass out.

And we ran a bunch when ahead. I still want to know how Ron is controlling Norv, and exactly when he does. Because we are throwing more than ever. Even 2014 and 2016 when we were always behind. The Rams have a 50/50 split. Is McVay a ground and pound?

I never said he was controlling Norv. I said Norv is actually game planning against teams which is something Shula never did.  I said if Norv wants to run the ball when we should not Ron is not going to be the one to step in and say hay let' do something else its not working bc it sides with what he wants to do anyways. Run run run run. He trust Norv to get Cam ready. He has always wanted Norv. He believes consistency was best for Cam and the team so he stayed with No brain Shula until he finally convinced his true guy Norv.

We shall see if Ron will start to trust his offense just as much as he trust his defense and stop playing not to loose all the time.

he tells norv what he wants.  he's the head coach.  his philosophy dominates the team.  like at work, how you may disagree with your boss, or their boss, or the team leader, but you have to do it their way even if you know there's a better way.   and if you make too much of a stink you get let go, whether you were correct or not.   that's how.  even jimmy johnson said on tv norv is a lot of 5 yd stuff, but the team seems to play better when we turn it loose.   and norv worked for jimmy.   that's why ron hired him.

And why does it matter now? No one was more critical of keeping Smith than me, but he probably saved our season. While hurt. The keep Torrey for “leadership”(off-field) made me furious. That game was leadership. Where it matters.

Now Moore is ready, healthy and has his breakout coming. Besides meaningless stats, what purpose would it have served. I’d rather have him fresh in January. You don’t just start every first round pick no matter what.

toomers, i don't think you see both sides.  are you one of the ones who is scared things will get worse if we decided to move on?   if that's the case there is no common ground.  i'm not scared of getting worse.  i want us playing to our potential and our team's strengths.   can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs.   if he doesn't get us there his tenure will have been a failure.    a complete failure.   that's how it works if the sb is the goal.  if your goal is to have a good team to enjoy that isn't terrible, we have different goals for the team.  that's all.   i can live with that and accept it. i just won't ever look at it that way.

Ok. Nice effort. A little blind now...lol

Forget all the team stuff. This is about coach. You just want any hot new OC? You are prepared to get rid of a coach who makes the playoffs and a SB for any random hot OC? And no name? Not one. And you are upset with people looking at this rationally. It’s a much higher rate of failure than success.
