Asking Cam to dink and dunk all over the Ravens Sunday....is crazy talk IMO.  You ask Cam to do that? Ravens going to cash in on that.  Cam isn't Tom Brady.  He can't dink and dunk 35 times on an elite D.  Never been his game.   And if he does play error free, Ravens are could enough to force punts just trying to small ball them down the field all day. 

big plays don't have to come from big bombs down field either.  The 2 players that offer the biggest play potential at WR are Samuel and Moore.  Despite little opportunity, they have proven they are the 2 biggest after the catch players we have to offer in the pass game.  They offer that big play potential on literally any pass.  Could be a screen or a 5  yard slant. 

I just think we need some big plays vs the Ravens to win.  We need to put ourselves in the best position to get them.  That is why I want Samuel and Moore.  They have the highest ceiling to create at WR and make something happen. 

 

 

agree then our offense needs to be more balanced all the way around. And that does mean more down the field throws and completions.

Still shocked at how little snaps Samuel is getting. He is one of our best route runners and has the speed and toughness after the catch. I can only assume the coaching staff is easing him back in slowly because of his condition.

All I know is, that when Samuel has been given the opportunity, he makes plays,  including scoring.  I'm sure that when snap counts are juxtaposed against productivity, Samuel is our best receiver.

I don't know.  We really are built at the moment where we need Cam to score points for us to win.   We aren't really bringing a D to the table to have an old fashion slug fest.  To win we probably gonna have to score 24-27 points.

Of course just because Smith is out, does not automatically mean we will see more of Moore.  It could mean we see more of CMC in the passing game, along with Olsen.  

Probably more likely than anything. I hope my boy Byrd gets some targets and plays well.

More often than not when Rivera’s hand has been forced to sit the vet the Panthers have benefited immensely. A testament to his weakness as either a poo talent evaluator or blind loyalty to vets but either way, I have to say I’m exited to see what is done Sunday as I feel if adjustments are made, the offense will be faster and more creative.
