Rivera won't commit to more no huddles

It only makes more sense when you consider who our QB is. Why diversify the offense and keep defenses guessing with some no-huddle thrown in more when you only have the most successful running QB at picking up 3rd downs in the league?

No-huddling with the weapons we now have makes defenses account for our receivers and RBs and eliminate a ton of spying on Cam. Allowing the defense to sub and rest doesn’t.

I'm confused...opposing teams already know Ron's game plan.  March it down the field to the 40 or 45 yard line, get a false start in there somewhere, run the ball up middle into brick walls and get to 4th and 1.  Then punt!  Pin them deep!  Cause it's too early in the game to gamble.

i wouldnt go as far to say he doesnt trust him. hes just too conservative of a coach and when he was "riverboat" we went 15-1..

And he knew he was bout to get fired. The guy is down for anything only when he thinks his job isnt safe.

Problem blaming Ron is that Norv calls the plays and Rivera hands it all to him. Norv used the no huddle last week. If we use it again it will be Norv doing it not Ron. Don't know why this is hard to understand that people keep.blaming Ron when he doesn't call plays and there is no evidence that he forces the OC to only call what he approves. Norv has been clear he adjusts things based on what he sees in practice and who the opponent is upcoming.

That might make a tiny bit of sense if he worried about his job or going elsewhere. But he knows if he were fired here, he would have a job in 24 hours.

Lol Maybe so...but that honestly wouldnt mean much my friend. Without Cam newton that team also would doomed from the get go. Probably would be having much success as wilks and McDermott and already looking to get let go by the end of the season. Coaches get fired just as quick as they get hired and the way rivera wants to play football wouldn't last long with another team.

Cam is not irreplaceable, few if any players are. If we had a different quarterback with difference skills Norv would adapt just like he has for 4 decades. Not sure what that to do with Rivera being afraid for his job or only taking risks when he thinks his job is on the line. NFL stands for not for long meaning few if any coaches not named Belicheck are safe. And again Rivera doesn't call plays and honestly on fourth down he is considered one of the coaches who goes for it more than most. Plus most teams would take his winning record and be glad for it. And no Rivera's success isn't all due to Cam.
