Should we trade for Calais Campbell?

Yeah because their team didn’t have a rapport with him and his name is synonymous with evil because of the timing of the Rice video and the desperate need to find another villain immediately.

Also, because the other 31 have invested draft or free agent capital in the defensive end position in a way the Carolina Panthers have not.

We were also told after a Salt Lake Screaming Eagles online poll ended in a dead heat photo finish with slightly more no votes to sign him that he would never play organized football again.  He was humble and committed enough to play in the Spring League and with Richmond however, being the great teammate he was here which landed him the franchise tag after 4 years and had RR and TD lauding his praises and begging our hypocritical, creepy, ex-owner for his return.

Dave Tepper supposedly has brass balls and supposedly wants to win a Super Bowl.

32 teams also passed on a REAL criminal (FELON) Tyreek Hill 4/5 tines too.

I get it. If he has changed and become humble and a great teammate, that’s a fantastic.

The fact of the matter is that had a second chance in Dallas. He signed a 1 year 11 million contract that Dallas took a huge risk one knowing he was going to be suspended. His 10 game suspension was dropped to a 4 game. He was able to play in 12 games for Dallas and recorded 6 sacks and 32 pressures. Is that worth it in Dallas’ eyes? Maybe, maybe not. He then went on twitter posting crazy poo, and was criticized by Jason Garrett who is practically a puppet and hardly has a thought for him self in the public as being a bad influence for young players. He also drove his damn car into water I believe and had a drug charge in Dallas. That was his chance after being suspended for an entire year. You can argue this or that if he deserved to be suspended so much or if the league was pushing hard due to Ray Rice. But he blew his second chance in Dallas. That was his reset point and he didn’t embrace it.

If the dude has become a better person great for him. He’s the same age as me, only 3 days apart. I know I did stupid poo when I was younger, and have changed, but he/you need to realize after not playing in the NFL and only playing in like 12 games since 2014 is not great not matter what shape you stay in. The last player I know of that has attempted to get back in the league after not playing for almost 4 years was JaMarcus Russell and he got just a tryout.

In this video from a mere two months ago where the man emphatically states his desire to come HOME to the Carolina Panthers, you can hear Dana White say Jerry Jones told him Hardy was “the toughest SOB we ever had around here”.  http://www.espn.com/mma/story/_/id/24314583/greg-hardy-ko-tebaris-gordon-17-seconds-second-mma-win

That answers nothing of what I said except hype him up.

he can be the toughest SOB in the world, or in Dallas, doesn’t mean he did what he had to do on that chance

So even though we gave him the tag after four years here when he single handily beat our two biggest rivals to secure a bye and OUR coaches and players loved him, and has been exemplary off the field the last two years to the point he’s humbled himself to the lowest rungs of football and MMA, and even though he lead the Cowboys to a top 10 D in a lost season with Brandon Weeden and Jerry Jones called him the toughest SOB ever...

even though these things are true...

we’re gonna risk giving Pat Mahomes more time in a hypothetical Super Bowl matchup to throw to Tyreek Hill and go into another offseason ringless.

I have some questions. Do you really think you are going to change anyone's mind with all this? Or do you do it just to be...different? Because in all this time. You have yet to convert anyone to your way of thinking.

I don't remember seeing you post anything that isn't Hardy related. There has to be a reason you are this obsessed with him.

I mean, you must have some outlook in mind for you put so much time and effort into this. What is it?

Few things.

Just because you humble yourself does not mean you have the privilege or right to get back what you lost. It’s called being humble. The definition is “having or showing a modest or low estimate of one’s own importance”. There is nothing there that says after being humble you deserve the right to get back which you have lost. I’m glad Greg/you have become humble. You realized your mistakes, and you from the sounds of it have become a better person. Great, continue that with your life. He/you are 30 years old. You have made probably more than every active poster makes combined on this board. You have the ability to still do something you love and be active. Enjoy it. But nothing about that means he/you deserve to be back in the NFL after your second chance in Dallas.

Next, Dallas did not have a top ten defense in 2015. They were middle of the road and using stats that I don’t like to use, were #16 on PFF. They were 32nd in the league with turnovers only having 11. Rushing they allowed on average 4.2 yards per carry which was 19th in the league, allowed 6.8 yards per reception which was 24th in the league.

Lastly, being called the toughest son of a bitch by a owner in the nfl doesn’t mean anything.

NONE of this complete gibberish has a single thing to do with the absolute sucktitude of the 2018 (and beyond) Carolina Panther Defensive End corps and how it very well may cost a Super Bowl.  Nor does it provide a better solution (because there isn’t one) to this problem from a team fit, ability, availability, salary cap, etc. standpoint than Gregory McKarl Hardy.

I got cha. We very well will never win a SB because we don't have Greg? That answers one question. The why.

Not about feeling like you need to champion this scenario in almost every thread that has Defense even mentioned in it. That is the weird part. Your need to Energizer Bunny this thing. You keep going, and going, and etc.

Edit to add; I guess I have never been to that level of obsession over a football player. But it fits you. So have at it brother.

We need to get younger on the Dline.

Unfortunately, that is probably one of our weaknesses that won't get fixed til next year. At least I am hoping it gets fixed next year. But then again, lot's of things are going to need attention next year. Going to be an entertaining offseason.
