Ha, yeah such a dick this team franchise tagged him after 4 years in house.

Without the Rice video he never misses one game.

Probably true. Never have said otherwise. Now, why is he blackballed, after coming back from suspension.

Josh Gordon has a job. Joe Mixon. Leonard Little And Dontae Stallworth killed people. And still played. But no one calls this “freak”. And it not his fault....lol

LOL We'd have to move Funch, CAP, and Butler to even afford the $3.4 mil for Fowler. How you gonna come up with $13 more million this year?

Whoever wrote that article in the OP should be shunned. This is ridiculous...

  OK....

First thing I do is throw out that 16M number as it has no bearing.

His salary for this year is 15M. We would have to pay half. Between Cam and KK, they have 26M in base salary between them. One call to either, or both telling them their game checks are coming early and all at once. Common restructure.

  What’s so hard about that?

Adam Schefter himself couldn’t make sense of it and actually believed Hardy.

It’s the biggest farce in sports history.  But WE are the franchise affected, WE are where he can thrive, WE are the team with coaches and a team captain coming off his own suspension that once pleaded on hands and knees for the man’s return.

So fast forward two years.  The man plays in the Spring and Arena League’s, keeps his nose clean, stays in fantastic shape, and is ascending to the top of another sport.  And he’s still only 30.

What the other 31 think is inconsequential.  THIS was his home of 5 years and where his teammates loved him.

What more does the man need to do???!!!

This ^^^^. If we want him, and Jacksonville is willing to part with him, this could be the trade we need to be a Super Bowl Contender. It fixes two to three problems at once. Upgrade Run Defense, Upgrade Pass Rush, and Help DB's. Check, Check, and Check.

He saves the Jags $16M if he's traded post 6/1. Granted, we'd be on the hook for only half his salary, you'd still have to convert both Cam and KKs salaries this year.

It's doable, maybe, but how much are you gonna do for a 32 year old DE on the decline?

If we pull a move like this it should be alarming.

We're already looking at a pretty different team the next couple years due to contracts expiring and bad contracts on the books. I'm not sure we want to invest so much into an aging player right now.

What part of after the suspension don’t you understand. All he had to do was act semi-normal in DALLAS. He got his second chance. And blew it.

Someone else’s turn to talk to “white noise”. I took my shift

First off, you didn’t ask if we “should”. You emphatically chastised everyone for even discussing the possibility. Then defiantly told anyone to show you how it was possible. Now that they did, it’s about whether it’s smart.

For the right price. Yes. I don’t care if he’s 32. He won’t have any guaranteed money on his contract. Cut him if he declines. His age and salary should keep the draft pick reasonable. I’d probably go comp pick.
