A opposing teams CB’s don’t matter, let them sign them all

Want to know why?

None of our wide receivers currently demand the respect of a top-flight CB. Yes a  top flight cornerback can shut  down a good receiver. But when you have as many wide receivers as we do all in about the same perceived threat  range,  who do you roll coverage to? None of them.

Our best receiving threat on our team is TE Greg Olsen and RB Christian McCaffrey.

Neither of those players because the position they play will have a cornerback lined up against them

So let the Saints or whoever sign  whoever they want. For match up purposes it’s pointless for them to do so against us.

So because all of our WR’s are equally bad the joke is on them?

The Saints and other teams that are improving their secondaries aren’t worried about us. The Saints are gearing up to compete with the Rams, the Saints didn’t need anyone else to beat us.

our WRs aren't all equally bad.

We have some clear young playmakers.  Other teams see that, and they then seek to make those types fixtures in an offense.  See Atlanta, Pitt, etc.   Ron seems content with letting them have minimal play time and thus minimal impact.

We end up in the postseason playing a Saints team or Rams team or Vikings team or Packers team or...basically anyone.  We will wish we put more emphasis on developing our young playmakers.   Because we will need points.

True, And until they prove otherwise our receivers are a joke.

Had the Saints traded for Peterson I think that would’ve really closed the gap between them and the Rams I’m not so sure Apple does much to close that gap.

It’s tough to get into “all in” mode as a fan and an organization I’m guessing this season when you look up and see a team as stacked as the Rams. They literally have zero weaknesses and possibly the smartest head coach in the game as well.

In the end, I do believe we make it to the playoffs but it’s hard to imagine us going into NO or LA and beating those type of teams. They’re just so stacked.

I agree with you on most of that, but McVay is Not the mastermind  that you’re making them out to be. At least not yet.

Let’s not forget that his rams got crushed in the playoffs last year by the third-place team in the NFCS.

I will say he is probably the most promising head coach in the NFL as far as potential goes. He just hasn’t proven anything when it matters yet.

Yeah I definitely could’ve worded that better. I feel like Goff has taken massive leaps this season and isn’t so much the liability he was last season.

Speaking of WR’s... Demaryius Thomas is apparently on the market. I feel like he’s Norv’s ideal number 1 type guy. You can never have too many WR’s in 2018 where you can never score too many points.

Thomas would be a nice get and a insurance piece incase we aren’t sold on Funchess long term or management doesn’t think they can afford him.

I like our group of receivers I would like to see more  snaps with Samuel and Moore on the field. Not many defenses can counter that speed especially when u put cmc in the mix.

Moore struggles against man coverage big time still.

Samuel 100% yes, needs to be on the field more though. He’s getting open and had the line given Cam an extra second on a few plays he’d have a couple more TD’s this season.

BeyBey would command that number 1 corner and at the very least open some other things open.

Rams offense is tough, but they have no edge rushers, their LBs are meh, and their secondary had been getting toasted all year.
