I have no idea how "official" drops are calculated, but to my eyes he dropped three in the last game alone. You could argue four.

Same here LG.  I definitely know of three in the Eagles game and three in the first half of the Redskins game.  Its blatant because Cam is going to technically his number one receiver on crucial third down plays.  The only way that could be right is if the people at NBC sports are watching every game for themselves.  Sir Purr, if you have watched every Panthers game this year and relatively know whats going on during the game, you have only seen Funchess aka Midol drop only two passes all year?

Go to the 8:30 mark.  Is that a drop by Funchess?

He caught 5 out of 8 targets in the game, so how can you "definitely know of three in the first half of the Redskins game." when that is one of the incompletions ?  5 catches, and that over throw equal 6 of the 8 targets.  This is what bothers me. Everyone KNOWS everything but can't back it up. Show me the all of these drops.  The hate he gets on here is unreal.

Are you seriously going to the game highlights and individual youtube videos saying that he didn't have drops?  Seriously, showing highlight videos that point out Funchess catching passes is not a way to prove that he isn't dropping passes.  So, yes he has made some good catches this year as he has in the past.  He dropped a routine out route on Sunday on 3rd down in the first half.  Jerry Rice once said good players make great plays, but great players always make the easy plays. Just getting tired of Cam going to his number one receiver in crucial situations and him dropping easy passes.  Maybe you like mediocrity, but it gets old.  Below is just a small bit of proof as to Funchess and his drops from Sunday.

Carolina’s receivers stepped up big-time in the fourth quarter, but like the offense, struggled early. A few clutch catches by Devin Funchess (who also had four drops), Torrey Smith, Jarius Wright, Greg Olsen and Christian McCaffrey bring this grade up quite a bit.

You said  " I definitely know of three in the first half of the Redskins game."

We know he had 8 targets.  Caught 5. at least 1 over throw.  So that proves you definitely did not see 3 drops in the first half.  I'm not saying he is great but a lot of people here exaggerate his drops just like you did above.  Don't let facts get in the way of what you "definitely know" though.

Drop is kinda accurate.  Can't Get Open is not.

It's very accurate. Besides the Eagles CB making a rookie mistake and biting on a double move Cam has to constantly place balls in tight windows for Funchess. Unlike Samuel and Moore who actually get open.

No, it's actually not. You're trying to make it simpler than it really is.  Granted Funch's game speed is slower than perhaps most,  but he is bigger than most so he's not necessarily  going to get the separation of a smaller,  quicker receiver, but he's right there in line with Mike Evans, Courtland Sutton, Kelvin Benjamin,  Josh Gordon and surprisingly a few others.

Funch on a double move is amazing, BTW, and stop trying to minimize it by invoking "rookie."

Actually I am, besides being terrible at actually running routes Funchess can't get separation as explained by this.

Nice try though but you lose. End of story.
