Job #1

Offensive Line - We have to protect Cam better and we need better running lanes for CMC so he's not just a swing pass back. This group is playing way above their abilities right now but we can't feel comfortable here. If we want Cam for another 10+ years so he can have the longevity of a Brady, Manning, Favre, etc. then we need to have blocking like the aforementioned qbs. Lil Kalil and Amini can let the door smack them on the way out.

Edge - It's like beating a dead horse but it's been painfully obvious how much we need a more consistent edge rush. Love Peppers but the dude is ancient and we need a game changer at the position. This would drastically help our corners and Shaq in coverage.

Safety/Corner - I think we're better off at this position than years past but we could use another stud. This might be something we look at in free agency and it'll be interesting to see how Reid continues to develop as he gets back to his top form.

Linebacker - I actually still really like Shaq if he was used a little better. Kuechley is still awesome but needs someone he loves/trusts as much as old man TD. Really think a round 1 or round 2 linebacker coupled with Shaw and Kuechley would be awesome.

Job #2

Ryan Kalil / C / 34 Retire but I'd love to have him back or stick with the team as an assistant in some way

Thomas Davis / OLB / 36 If he wants to stay for a reasonable price I'd love for him to retire a Panther. Still think we draft his eventual replacement.

Julius Pepper / DE / 39 It's time for the ageless wonder to sit down. God bless him and he's been an excellent Panther.

Mike Adams / FS / 38 Old man Adams likely needs to retire and we need to look for his replacement.

CJ Anderson / RB / 28 I actually really like Anderson and think we've underutilized him. If we could get him cheap then awesome if not I think we could draft someone that would give us similar production during a rather late round.

Marshall Newhouse / RT / 30 Bye

Eric Reid / SS / 27 Resign him but convince him to keep it reasonable. He's not going to be receiving too many big offers so I think we can get the deal done without a monstrous cap hit.

Devin Funchess / WR / 25 Would love for Funchess to stay but I think he's just going to be overpriced. Moore needs more targets anyways and Jarius Wright has been plenty productive imo.

Wes Horton / DE / 29 Resign on a very cheap multiple year deal as a rotational player

Fozzy Whitaker / RB / 30 Amazed he's still here honestly. See you bud.

Colin Jones / FS / 30 Getting old. If he's cheap enough he can stay.

Kyle Love / DT / 32 Keep it cheap or retire.

Chris Clark / LT / 33 If he wants to stay and be cheap then he can provide depth.

Amini Silatoleu / G / 30 G-O-N-E he's had the longest most undeserved NFL career maybe in Panthers history

Ben Jacobs / ILB / 31bye

Daryl Williams / RT / 27 Should be able to get a multiple year fair deal. Not cheap but not cap busting.

Taylor Heinicke / QB / 26 With Cam's style I think we need a better backup frankly but having 3

Chris Manhertz / TE / 27 Resign to a very cheap deal

Damiere Byrd / WR / 26 If he's cheap enough give him a deal. Not a stud but he's serviceable.

David Mayo / OLB / 26 bye

Cameron Artis-Payne / RB / 29 I love CAP but it's time for him to go

Jared Norris / OLB / 26 8 tackles over three years he can walk

Bryan Cox Jr. / DE / 25 Loved him in college and I actually think he could be a good player for us. I'd give him a very cheap contract but for a decent number of years. Depth if nothing else.

Efe Obada / DE / 27 I like Efe, another player I think could actually produce for us. Cheap but decent length contract. Depth if nothing else.

Jamaal Jones / WR / 26 bye

Damien Parms / S / 26 bye

Elijah Hood / RB / 23 bye

Adam Bisnowaty / T / 25 bye

Job #3

Top 10 FA I'd like us to pursue

1. Demarcus Lawrence (DE) - but I don't see him getting away from the Cowboys

2. Jadeveon Clowney (DE) - man do I hate this kid since his high school recruitment. He was lazy in college and has lived off natural ability. However, I'd put him under Kuechley's mentorship and he can produce off the edge. He'd be better off with us as a legit DE not a "linebacker".

3. Grady Jarrett (DT)

4. Sheldon Richardson (DT)

5. Landon Collins (S)

6. Haha Clinton-Dix (S)

7. Dee Ford (DE)

8. Ronald Darby (CB)

9. Tyrann Mathieu (S)

10. Geno Smith (QB) Why not?
