I have to give it up to Gruden and Raider FO. Acquiring 3 first round picks in what should be a deep draft class next season is brilliant on paper. If they hit on all 3 choices they could have a solid group of guys locked up for 5 years minimum. If they hit on the 2nd and 3rd round choices things could turn around out there in a hurry.

Khalil Mack trade was bad, but this trade looks good for Gruden. Will have three first round picks out of them. All in all not bad!

The money is not the reason no one wants Dez Bryant.

Quite possibly one of the most overrated receivers in the last 15 years. And a sideline pain-in-the-ass.

Think of the division.

Are they ready to compete for the division?  No.

Are they competitive now in the NFL as a whole?  No.

If you can't win your division, and you can't make the playoffs, why PAY Mack and Cooper?  And why continue to pay Carr?

Smart move here is to tear it all down, collect as many assets as possible, and try to hit on a QB in the draft.  

Pretty much the Rams of a couple years ago, and the Browns this year.

Cooper is a proven commodity and around the age of Ridley.  I don’t think this gets the Cowboys in the playoffs but I like this trade for Dallas.  At least they are going for it.
