What does the comeback vs Eagles mean?

  1. 1. Identity defining moment or Fools gold?

    • Identity defining moment for the season (like vs Seahawks in game 5 of 2015 for a Super Bowl run)

    • Fool's Gold (too many issues to feel good about this carrying over to the rest of the season)

What an amazing comeback thrilling victory when we all thought it was going to be the worst loss of the season.  What do you think it means for the rest of the season?  A key moment or did we just get lucky and trouble is on horizon?

It felt like a poor man's version of the 2015 win against the Seahawks. All the way down to the final touchdown to Olsen. Time will tell if it was a quality win against a good team or barely beating a team wallowing it's way back towards mediocrity.

Yeah of course time will tell, but it felt like something to build on. At the very least, can we do more no huddles and get into a rhythm offensively.

I still think Norv is learning how to use his folks.  Have always said offense wouldn't really start to come together until midseason.

I think Norv is learning what does and doesn't work.  Norv is now learning what other OCs here learned about Cam.  The old school slow junk doesn't go well with Cam.  The slow no huddle is his bread and butter.  Norv may be old but he ain't dumb.  Every game where nothing works and something works is a learning experience.

It means they're capable of outscoring a good team 21-0 in the 4th qtr. and winning the game. What they do with that knowledge and capability is unknown. I doubted that this version of the Panthers could pull that off so I'm encouraged. Hopefully they quit putting up zeros for 3 quarters and don't have to make another comeback like this.

While there are plenty of fans who are calling this the greatest ever and "what a comeback!," what seems to be left unsaid are the reasons a comeback was necessary.

It means everything, for the season going forward.

Remember we've got 2 new coordinators, and several players coming back from injuries, suspensions, so things take time to gel and come together.

That would've been just as true, had we lost that game, and been a  middling 3-3.  But the lift to the whole team, coming off that hard-earned (no fluke bounces, or the other team missing an EP at the end, e. g.) win -- it can't be overstated that this will resonate for the rest of the season.  The players know full well how much this meant.  Confidence is contagious.

It means discounted doughnuts at Krispy Kreme.

I got an Iced Coffee from Krispy Kreme yesterday morning for the first time ever. Looks like that’ll be thrown into my Sunday routine from this point forward. Thank me when we win a SB
