^ I agree. When it comes down to it, one player can make the difference in a game played this close. For us it was absolutely the loss of Kemo. Too many holes in the middle. With him the game would have been different. Hopefully he will be 100% for the playoffs.

Hard to be upset with the way we played overall. Yeah there were problems on D but our D has not been as dominant since the bye but we are still winning.

I was wondering about this... if the board was going to explode. I'm not happy they lost, but we played well and held our own.

still having a hell of a season. just hate to see us under achieving IMO. I had that low feeling last night, you know, when your girlfriend says she just wants to be friends. Oh well, there will be more girls and more games.

I'm disappointed that we gave up so much in the running game to the Giants. Sheesh, it was close to 300 yards wasn't it? We kind of tried to hang our hats on stopping the run, but we got shredded last night.

Its ok. Not the end of the world. We can still get the #2 seed with a win in NO. That's going to be tough because all the NFC South teams are playing stoutly at home. Even if we lose that one though, the giants last year went to and won the Super Bowl on the road. In 2005, the Panthers made a huge road trip to play in the NFC Championship game. So there is still hope.

Was last night great? Nope, but we can play better on D.

couldn't agree more....

We played a desperate football team, at their place, without a key defensive lineman, and had a great opportunity to win the game.

This team proved a lot to me last night with the way they fought.

Deangelo williams is the best back in this league this year, and gets no credit for being so by anyone outside of our fan base.

Yep - don't know about anybody's else's team, but my team made the playoffs. My Christmas decorations began to make room for my playoff decorations. It's on.

Cue music...

It's the most wonderful time of the year

exactly...at least we are guaranteed one more panther game before all is said and done...can't beat that

I think that's it in a nutshell. No one likes to lose, but it's part of the game. Having such high hopes, and seeing the D give up a two-score lead is kinda what makes this loss seem a little harder.

It ain't over yet, though. We can still clinch the division and a first round bye. Barring that, we're still in the playoffs.

omg... I just sounded like Fox.

we played the giants.....who many considered to be the best team in the NFL for most of the year....and almost pulled it out. they were weak for a couple weeks being without 2 of their key playmakers and playing without confidence but they made adjustments and got their confidence back and we still almost won.

they got a couple lucky breaks with that smith holding call and the wind on kasay's kick and even the OT coin toss. any one of those three things changing and we would probably be cheering right now.

we played the champs and almost had them.

next time we will get them. we won't lose to them twice.

remember what happened to the team after the falcons loss?

i fully expect that kind of run from here on out.

the way that the panthers has played the last few weeks, there is only one team in the NFC that could possibly beat us and last night they did.

it WILL NOT happen again. giants won't beat us twice.

    • Kraven has awful shitty comic book movie vibes all over it. It's just more of whatever studio owns the rights to the Spiderman set, but no longer actually has Spiderman anymore. Wicked is probably no more enjoyable. 3 hour long musicals are tough to endure.
    • One of those guys who throws a pass that makes you yell "OMG" then immediately follows it with one that makes you go "WTF" 😳 Essentially the Brett Favre prototype...
    • The Giants games are an interesting comparison for sure. We could compare the Chiefs vs the Bucs as well, since at least both teams are largely the same as they are now, rather than the Giants whose coach lost his mind after losing to us. 30-24 KC in overtime. Hunt had 106 yards and Mahomes had 291. Baker threw for 200 yards, but 2 TDs. Their leading rusher had 25 yards or something. Our offense outperformed what the Bucs did vs KC, but being a division game we won't have the benefit of being overlooked. If our D plays how it did in the 4th quarter I think we can get some stops.  Can Bryce carry a second game? I'd rather not find out and have Chuba carry the load, but we'll see.
