Who thought Ron was going to punt on 4th and 10 with 2 minutes left?

I was just watching on ESPN gamecast and it said we were on the PHI 31, not CAR 31 so I thought for sure we'd kick a field goal.

Couldn't, the 2 minute warning would have passed during our punt and we only had 2 TOs and not even Rivera is that big of a retard. We also have Norv to tell him this on the headsets just in case.

I agree.  I think if that 4th down had been 10 seconds earlier, he may have punted because the 2 minute warning and 2 timeouts would have been better if they got the 3&out.  

My thinking in either case is that whether you punt or fail on 4th down, you need a 3&out to have a chance and you may give them a fg if you fail on 4th down and then stop them but that would still be a one possession game.  Thus, I liked going for it.

The announcers clearly didn't understand the two minute warning would have took place right after the punt. There's no way Rivera ever even considered punting.

not a single staff member of any NFL team would have elected to punt there. I really hope there isnt a single person on this forum that thinks we would have punted. Thats just ignorance.

Yeah, punting there would've effectively lost you the game. Best case scenario you're forcing them to punt back to you with about 30 seconds or so and no timeouts.

Ron has punted in some  smh situations.  It has been clear from day one, he trusts his defense more than his offense.  I agree to punt there would make no sense.

Announcers asside, Ron has punted in some head shaking situations.  This of course, would have been one of the dumbest.
