But yeah, I see both Jenkins and Reid's sides. Nothing wrong with it. Very rarely is anyone 100% in the right. I'm sure the truth is somewhere in the middle. I will say Jenkins looks better on the surface by not throwing barbs Reid's way. Turn the other cheek and all that. 

Personally I have no problem with Reid exercising his first amendment rights to kneel for the anthem. Don't care one way or the other. Good for him for doing it. Can't say I 100% agree with everything he's said or the way he handled the Jenkins thing, but I respect that he has principles and believes in his cause 100%. 

But god forbid I'm not 100% blindly behind him. Reid's position leaves little room for nuance which something like this situation requires in my opinion. But the squeaky wheel gets the grease and all that. It's important to see the other side's opinion on the matter to understand where they come from. By trying to shut them down or out and not hear their perspective you can't truly understand WHY things are the way they are for others. Waiting and listening to another perspective isn't a bad thing. Neither is actually agreeing with certain points of the opposition. 

But the way thered handles things, everything is 100% black and white with no gray in the middle. He's so closed minded to other perspectives just because they differ from his own that nothing productive comes from talking about things with him. It's all strawmen and ad hominem arguments on his side. All that happens is he twists your words to find ways to call you a racist then moves the goalposts. 

So in conclusion, Yes, I see both sides between Jenkins and Reid and in my opinion there's nothing wrong with that.
