Reid calls Jenkins a “sellout”

NAS

Recommended Posts

4 teams allegedly had interest in Reid at about the tie that we signed him. 49ers, Seahawks, Falcons, & us. 49ers and Seahawks don't play the Eagles (unless it's in the playoffs). Falcons already payed the Eagles. Did he possibly sign with us to confront Jenkins? If not, why was he on the field for the coin toss? He's not a captain.

Cause black history and liberal arts degrees don't have a demand

Data showing we’re only majoring in black history or obtaining liberal art degrees?  Or are you just talking out of your ass? As a black man I have a Mech Engineering degree, and have gotten my masters in Industrial Engineering personally.

By this response, I can pretty much tell you’re not one worth having conversation with.

So basically their point is that white people start off with more wealth opposed to black people. In all honesty wealth management isn't about how much you start out with or what you earn. It's a learned and practiced skill. So to summarize this study says even if a white kid drops out of high school he will be supported by his parents wealth sometimes.

Your first sentence is really all that needed to be said. There’s a reason they have started out with more wealth, and my bro @Matthias has explained quite a few times that reason.

In regards to your last sentence, most black kids don’t have that option.

Aside from the definitely not trolling guy, great discussion!

Smith and Jenkins and Norman and the Coalition Board are the ones deserving of support

they are bring real issues forward and should be heard...and they are being heard

Both will get my support, because both are out there helping the community and trying to combat police brutality (even though I don’t know what or where the funds the coalition has come up with is going. I know all Eric and Colin has done).

Also, with your last sentence; are you saying Colin and Eric aren’t bringing forth real issues? If you are, that is false.

Merit in this...not an absolute, but a lot more likely than not...and easy to see why this needs to improve

Lol aight, we’re getting somewhere with all this. There’s progress being made with you admitting there needs to be improvement.

Meanwhile, Jenkins supposedly takes the "high road".  I personally think he know he sold out and now is trying to act like he's a saint.

“You couldn’t pay me to say anything negative about them,” Jenkins said. “I look around the league and I’m proud of guys that are active in their communities, that are using their voice as a platform like never before — including Colin and including Eric. I think he deserves to have a job in this league, I’m glad that he does have one. I think that his talent is speaking for itself. I think his stance is the only reason he was not in the league.

If you want to believe that's true then fine we live in a free country so you can do that but wealth isn't a racial advantage. It's a learned skill and there is also plenty of help to acquire that skill. From being a high school coach to many other things in my life I have learned the biggest racial barrier is simply faith in each other. I've watched blacks put blacks down because they came from a troubled family and I've watched the same with whites and Hispanics. As a coach I also had the privilege of taking those players and building them up and watching them grow. There is nothing more rewarding than that. I think too often we all focus on the effects and not the cause. The cause is not putting enough faith in the right people and the effect is not gaining the skills we need because of that. I could honestly write all day on this subject and give you causes, effects, and solutions, and how a small but very rich part of society controls us by selective racism in each race.

Is it can it be tinderbox time nao?

That would be the easy way out.

As long as the rules get followed I see no reason to move it.  Nobody is being forced to read this.

Of course another mod or admin or the mfceo can move it at any time, making my 2 cents here moot.

That there is the problem. Many want to start with their whiny complaining about a thread they don't like what is in it but forget to bring a box of tissue when they click on in to read it so they don't get their keyboards wet.

Wealth that is disproportionately in favor of non POC families.
