I agree and it looked like they were in a cover 2 which means the corners should have had safety help, but we as fans will never know what the real assignments were because pro defenses are so much more complicated compared to college.

First half Wentz was throwing darts and Jeffrey was making circus catches.  No one in the NFL could have defended most of those passes and it was a thing of beauty to watch.

For real though, Ertz, Goedert, and Jeffrey all had toe tapping sideline catches at some point in the first half. All beautiful throws that were placed perfectly. Can't really defend that crap.

Agree and I think Wentz only had like one incomplete pass in the first half - it was impressive to watch.

Trust me, Eagles fans felt the same way in the final 10 minutes of the game.  Tough to not respect watching Wentz play a near perfect first half and Cam doing the same in the 4th qtr.

Where was this criticism after he kept Julio, AJ, and OBJ in check?

Good counterpoints.  He did well in those matchups for the most part, but I would also offer that those teams were attacking Donte in those games because he was untested...  since Donte has made plays and is developing a reputation as an outstanding cover corner (possibly shutdown corner with experience), teams appear to be going after Bradberry more.  And even considering all of that, Bradberry still gave up some big plays in those games.  I'm still convinced he is average at best, and his lack of ball skills is off-putting.  Just my opinion.

Yeah, Bradberry isn't great but he is a good CB that lines up against the best WR we face. We just need a pass rush to make him look better.

This is the true problem. Wentz had all day to wait the route out, got to get press and if not sack make him move and hurry throw to out places. Not drop back, stare 1 route until it opens up.

Bradberry gets the #1 WR each week.  While I am not happy with getting beat deep late in the game, you have to think of it this way:

65% completion ratios for QBs is a bit below NFL average.  A CB on a #1 WR should lose the battle nearly 2/3 of the time.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/passing/sort/completionPct

Bradberry was considered trash in 2017 by most of you (I supported him).  But in 2017, the completion percentage against him was 55.9%--second lowest in the NFL for CBs getting targeted 100 times or more.

Stop saying he sucks.   You are showing your dumassedness.

This!  If he would turn his head more and play the ball I believe he could step up his game.

He's there. It's not like guys are pulling away from him. When they catch the ball he's usually there.

Like I said, evolve. Donte always had speed so he already had the confidence to look back and play the ball.

You can't be a placetaker and not take a risk. You've got to be a playmaker. All the playmakers on this team bet on themselves and all take calculated risks.

Josh Norman didn't have the speed but he had the athleticism and the balls to go and pick one off or slap the dang ball down.

I wonder what his 2018 completion % against will be or what last year's would have been had he stayed in the game the day Julio went off.

He's a good CB that could be great if he adds to his game. He's on it. He's there to make the tackle.

i think most fans "analyze" CB play by blaming a catch on whoever they happen to see in frame when the completion is made

Gonna disagree with you there. Scheme or not, 4.5/6 speed is not going to keep you pace for pace with many NFL wideouts. Bradberry was bailed out.

Where were the safeties? Playing a two high safety look, Bradberry shouldn't have been in a position to make that play as a safety should've been over the top. That's likely why he seemed to be "beat" and if anything, I consider it a mature move to not call out your teammate on the field in that situation. My best guess is that Eric Reid once again bit on the wrong route and left our corner out to dry.

He's not the most talented corner to be sure.  It frustrates me when I see the ball is thrown his way, and he has his back to it.  Yet all that said, he has plenty of grit.  He got beat baaaaaaaaaaaaaad by Alshon at the end there.  To have the mindset to say "F-it" and get that pass interference call, in that situation, bravo!!!!!  As a football fan, I actually have mixed feelings about it, but what he did was absolutely fair and within the rules.  As a Panther fan, I cheer for this brother!!!!!!!!!  Great play!

Can I call him brother too? Or is that a no-no?

Also, Eric Reid's aggresiveness in trying to jump routes is going to lose us a game this year. Bradberry released Jeffrey to trail because a safety was going to be over the top but he was allowed to split a two high safety look. Much like the pass to Vernon Davis for a TD against the 'Skins when Reid tried to cover Jordan Reed, he was caught out of position except it was Luke who was expecting help over the top from Reid in Washington.

Bradberry had one of the top SPARQ scores in his class.

https://www.playerprofiler.com/nfl/james-bradberry/

He's not 4.5/6 speed, he was also touted in that class, he was just out of a small school, but he transferred there because the 1st school wanted him to move to S given his size.

Bradberry has been a very good corner for us and has rarely if ever been abused by a #1 receiver, Alshon had a couple receptions and a TD. It happens, but Bradberry & Jackson have been good for us this season.

I can't say if there was suppose to be a safety deep or not on that play.  I would need to see footage on it.  I noticed we were playing at least one safety deep for most of the game.  Bradberry did what he could against Jeffrey.  I'm cool with it.
