James Bradberry

Bradberry is the equivalent to Funchess. A decent average #2. Could be better, could be worse.

But kudos for him on that 3rd down stop. He got beat BADLY on the beginning of that play if you re-watch (he missed his jam), but he quickly recovered and was able get back to swat it.

I would rather see him not get burned deep and keep the pass from even being an option, or at least get his hand on the ball.

I will take a D play over an F play if the player is not good enough to do any better than satisfactory. Just don't call that a great play.

It's a great play as far as situational football all corners get beat at sometime how they respond tells everything he responded in play by stopping the catch which led to us winning.

I call it a great play because 10 times out of 10, the defeated corner will continue to run and try to tackle the receiver once he caught it.  If Bradberry did that, it would have been a touchdown.  To have that mindset in such a critical point in the game, to get the penalty, that is grit!  That's savvy!  That is thinking outside the box, in my opinion.

Not even thinking outside the box it's called football logic it's brilliant don't let a few wierdos change normal thinking if BradB always got burned or was s penalty machine then it's unacceptable if it's a rare instance in which it worked to help win the game means it was brilliant, quick thinking, basically adjusting on the fly to ensure a victory and it worked simple as that.

There is a lot of greatness in the NFL by that standard.

Lol yea maybe if that's what he did week to week but it was a reactionary play to ensure no td I'd say brilliant

We've been playing zone since 2011 when Bradberry was in HS.

Lolololol tell em again I thought we started when we drafted Bradberry.

Imo he's one person who's been so darn consistent if we can't give him a pass this week after minimizing so many top notch wr I'm so glad for his steady play it's a good thing to have good db play week in and week out. If he becomes a picked on target the next few weeks we'll discuss it again but come on it's appreciate the player embrace his mistakes because his positives outweigh the negatives by a mutha..... mile.

Nothing to celebrate about his performance today.  He was a huge reason the defense gave up 17 points early and Jeffrey isn't a burner, so it should've been a more reasonable cover for him...  but it wasn't.

I have reached my limit with him.  Sure, he showed grit and bounced back for that deflection from Jeffrey late, but again, he gave up a TON today.  And he has zero ball skills.  ZERO.

Now that we have what appears to be a legit shutdown corner developing in Jackson, we really need to look into a solid cover corner at the #2, bc as long as Bradberry is there, they're gonna pick on him.  Gettleman's outstanding drafting abilities continue to appreciate for us...

Where was this criticism after he kept Julio, AJ, and OBJ in check?

Bradberry didn't have a good game.  He's been good all year however.  He's not a shutdown, superstar corner, and I don't suspect he ever will be.  But he's solid.  He's what we need.  The guy on the other side is the one who has potential to become a superstar.

Also - how disappointing is it that we didn't even bring Richard Sherman in for a visit?  Ugh...

Really want to see a replay of that deep pass to Jeffrey at the end. There were no safeties up top and I want to know if that was by design or there was supposed to be some help back there.

Bradberry definitely got beat on that TD pass though, great route and caught him flat footed. There were a ton of perfect passes from Wentz all game though, and he did come back with the PBU in the 4th to get us the ball one last time so that was good.

I agree and it looked like they were in a cover 2 which means the corners should have had safety help, but we as fans will never know what the real assignments were because pro defenses are so much more complicated compared to college.

First half Wentz was throwing darts and Jeffrey was making circus catches.  No one in the NFL could have defended most of those passes and it was a thing of beauty to watch.
