ron is an example of the peter principle.  the team has won, despite his ineptitude, because of the talent.  he is far too conservative for the NFL today and his coaching hires/promotions are sycophants.  surrounding yourself with "yes-men" is the absolute worst thing any leader can do.  successful people are continuously challenging their own philosophies so they can improve upon them.  this is something that can be learned, but ron doesn't seem like someone who wants to learn.  he only adjusts when forced to do so, not good for a head coach.

watching the halftime report by pam oliver, ron only states the obvious and not how he can adjust, as leader of the team, to make it happen.  it sums up his tenure here perfectly.
