4 Simple question for Jake defenders.

Huh? Who do you think are they gonna play harder for, a guy that want, or a guy they don't want? You must have missed it when players were quitting when Carr was under center.

I remember when the Vikings "didn't want Favre" under center... boy that changed quick.

I repeat moore is # 2 on the depth chart.

Please guys pull up matt moores stats and look at them, please i am asking. if you are going to judge him off preseason then you have to judge everyone off preseason stats. 2008 he didnt even play one regular season game. you guys act like he should have been peyton manning and that is the only way he would supplanted delhomme. the kid is still in his third year this year! he hasnt had no where near the opportunity that other higher round draft picks get. i mean really who in preseason shows they are better than the starter? even if he was awesome in preseason, they same guys who say he sucks because of preseason stats, would say he doesnt deserve to start because preseason doesnt matter and it counts in the real games.

No one is bigger than the logo. NO ONE. Long after John Fox returns to where he needs to be DCing the Texans and Jake Delhomme retires to his million dollar horse stable (paid for by the PSL owners of Charlotte, NC) we'll still be here, still rooting for this team, still trying to convince our kids to root for them, still pumping dollars into this organization. This organization will NEVER win anything until it stops taking its fan for granted and treating them like 6 year olds who dont know poo about football. 3/4th of us were NFL fans before the Panthers even existed. No one cares if some other organization would hire Fox, another one hired Capers too. Should we have kept him too?

Come on... "No one is bigger than the logo!!!" I'd think Jerry Richardson is, and really, it's his team. And unlike some NFL owners, I believe the man knows football and knows what he is doing.

Fox would be snagged up in a minute as an HC. He's got a winning record and a record for turning around abyssmal teams. He finds diamonds in the rough (who really wanted Steve Smith in 2002?) He's taken teams to the playoffs and the Super Bowl and he doesn't make an ass of himself at press conferences. Think King Farquad or however you spell it, how many team owners would kill to have that right now? How about Dan Snyder or Al Davis?

And yes, a good part of Jake's horse farm was paid for by PSLs, and the myriad of other revenue streams a pro football team generates, in addition to his own endorsements. Guess what? He earned that money when he got us to the Super Bowl. He earned it when he took us back to the playoffs. He earned it last year, too. He was part of the team giving its fans what it wants. At least he hasn't been Landon Johnson riding the pine for a cool $5 million. Or Vince Young or Matt Leinert or Brady Quinn, shaking down the big bucks for a few pre-season appearances.

So, King Thakkawakkadoscious or whatever, what is it that you want? Bill Belichek and Tom Brady? Tony Dungy and Peyton Manning? They are out there, but they ain't Panthers. Support who we've got or chase another team's stars.

Moore is #2 until Feeley gets the playbook down, Fox said that is whats going to happen.

'Game manager' is an overrated term. A 'gunslinger' QB like Favre can be just as much a 'game manager' as a QB who throws 15 passes a game on a team that relies on it's defense and running game. It all depends on the results! I'd like to think that Jake at some point will have the law of averages on his side, and get away from the turnovers. We get our TO ratio on the plus side, our chances of winning go up exponentially. But I have faith that Jake can overcome this, he has lasted as a starting QB on a team that has won more than it has lost since he did take over the starting job. I just hope it happens soon..

Matt Moores' stats don't even matter. What matters is who the offensive players want at QB, and it's pretty clear that they want Delhomme.

It's not as clear as you think. 1st off MC you have been a fan a long time what happens too player when they speak out on this team? So what would you expect we are talking about the panthers. Who's going too speak out and have too go in the office the next day for reducation? Still with all that you can see fustration leaking out.

How many people want to bet that Fox is keeping Matt Moore on the bench just to piss off the fans?

Anyone? Five to one odds? Anyone?

This is the NFL. A coach lives and dies by wins and losses. All this "loyalty" crap is just that, crap. In the cut throat business of NFL head coaching, you play to win, always, unless your career is over and you're just phoning it in.

And Fox isn't doing that. Neither is Delhomme. If you were able to fire John Fox, how long do you think he'd be unemployed? People were willing to give Mangini a shot... I mean, come on, Fox is very, very valuable in the available coaches pool. Al Davis would risk and anuerism to have him work magic on the Raiders like he did with the Panthers. Add the Browns, Texans, Jaguars, Chiefs, Bills and Rams to that list. Probably a couple more.

And Jake wouldn't be sitting at home unemployed next year either. Bet on it.

S davis - D Foster = Davis was on his last wheels and Foster was a better option at the time. What did Fox do? Stuck with davis.

D Foster - D Will = Foster was a fumbling machine wasn't hitting the holes and was injury prone. DWill was breaking big runs and not fumbling and was a all around better player. What did Fox do? Stuck with Foster.

Ken lucas - Richard Marshall = It was clear that Lucas had lost a step and was getting targeted by every OC. Plus he wasn't tackleing well. Richard was younger making more plays and a better tackler. What did Fox do? Stuck with lucas.

See a pattern?

The point is if you can't win the game for your team (elite QB).

As a game Manager you can't lose it.

You can't put your team in bad positions. Jake has done these things.

When you can't manage a game or Not turn the ball over you stop being a game manager and become a liability.

you do realize the OLine has to protect the QB and receivers have to get open?

Are you telling me you expect Jake to have neither and still win games?

A yes or no answer would be sufficient.

The bottom line is, If they had any faith in Matt Moore being our starter, they wouldn't keep bringing other journeymen quarterbacks and putting them at the backup spot!

They brought JStew in when they didn't know what they had in Dwill.

Maybe they are not good in finding out what they have before they bring someone new in.

The Philly game now explain the other 6 TO. Or the worst int's too pass ratio. Or 3td -10int's tied for the most with a rookie.

He probably wouldn't be unemployed long at all....that doesn't mean he would find a job as a Head Coach.

It is league wide knowledge who and what Fox is. It isn't a bad thing....but the NFL is moving in a different from what Fox's ideal team is. The league is QB and pass driven now and will continue to be so.....that ain't Fox. That isn't a lot of coaches......you can look back and see the game change and see how that has resulted in certain guys being phased out in different eras. How many teams this year run more than they pass? 4 out of 32.

Fox could easily get fired and never recieve another NFL HC position. Too few jobs....too much old talent and too much young talent for people to always resort the "Fox would be snatched up in a heartbeat" logic.
