4 Simple question for Jake defenders.

I want Jake benched as much as the next guy. I also realize that's not going to happen unless the season is completely lost, which probably won't happen until Dec. I think he's done but I'm also hoping that he can somehow rebound from all this.

1. He never was, and no one expected him to be.

2. Same answer.

3. Irrelevant since Delhomme doesn't fit the profile.

4. I'm for it. But from Coach Fox's perspective, it doesn't fit the need to win now and bolster his job security.

One question for Jake bashers...When is Peyton Manning available? Because thats the only guy that will make you all happy...We all know Jake isn't good anymore, but he's the best we got so deal with it...Sometimes you gotta support the team through the good and the bad..A new QB will be here soon, lets just get through with what we got..If it was so easy to find a QB than 5 teams every year wouldnt go drafting/picking up one..

1. Is he a elite QB?

2. Is he a game manager QB?

3. What is the most Improtant thing in being a Game manager QB?

4. Why not start Matt Moore?

1. No, and he never has been

2. Yes, even though the offensive sets kind of look for a gunslinger at times.

3. Running the offense, taking what the coaches give you and executing it

4. Because he wouldn't be as good as Jake has been.

That's all you got? Jake is sucking but he's still the best option we have. As long as Davidson calls these retarded long passing plays he'll continue to suck, and you'll continue to waste electrons posting stupid threads like this.

Mr. S a few years ago I would have said he was a above avg. Game manager.

With the right piece around him he could make plays and somtimes win games with his passing.

My point now is as a game manager your most important job is too not turn over the ball. Well we all know that has change for Jake.

So if he has never been elite and is not getting the job done as a game manager? Why is he still starting.

This single decsion will cost Fox and maybe Hurney their jobs. If you have too defend your QB every Mon. pressor their is a problem with your QB. It already seem like he is losing other players because his loyaty too Jake is becoming a cancer on this team.

You forgot you can't turn over the ball as a game manager. That should be the 1st thing you wrote for #3.

If your (game manager QB) is turning the ball over 2-3 times a game. He is not your best chance too win.

Ok then, if you're a franchise QB you can turn the ball over, but a game manager cannot? They do it ALL the time. Most QBs out there are game managers, only a very few (Brady, Manning, etc...) are not. Gunslingers that don't win games don't get playing time.

Which type of quarterback relies more on the running game to move the ball, a game manager or a franchise/gunslinger QB?

Which type of quarterback relies more on the defense to win a game, a game manager or a franchise/gunslinger?

Which type of quarterback is more likely to run the draw or short pass on third and long? Which kind either throws short or long, but not the intermediate routes?

If Jake isn't a game manager, who is?

    • It may seem like our rookies have fairly low yards. But If you combine the yards for Coker,  Legette, and J.Sanders, you get 800 which is more than Neighbors or BTJ.  Also Coker is the only UDFA on this list the fact that he's on any kind of top list as UDFA makes him arguably our best move this off season for the price we paid to get him. Slam Dunk off-season by Dan Morgan. Especially if Brooks shows us something this season. We've already seen Trevin Wallace doing some good things. Getting anything out of Smith Wade or Crumedy would be a bonus. Rarely do 5th to 7th Rounders work out. In a sort of strange way that Michigan LB we drafted in the 7th got us a serviceable backup CB in Mike Jackson. So there's that too. Imagine if Morgan has just as good as of an off-season before the 2025 season for the defensive side of the ball.
    • I love Cam, and want the org to celebrate him, but they've told him why things are how they are (he isn't retired) and he says he just isn't going to and expects them not to care... I get he's never playing again, but just sign the papers to retire and call their bluff...
    • I'm happy those 2 are finding success elsewhere. Chinn never lived up to the hype after his rookie season and Luvu just wanted to go play in Dan Quinn's defense that suits him perfectly. I can't hate on that.
