Fact is, he hasn’t made the sort of impact on the field that warranted the Tinderbox-wide ejaculation that occurred upon his signing.

With that sort of reaction, you’d think he would have made at least ONE memorable play through his first 2 games with Carolina.

Its true.  Reid was heralded as a second coming, so to speak.  The endless posts about how the safety position being our weakest link, that corners would suddenly play better with a better  safety and that Reid was the answer, has not come to fruition.   As I struggle with why our secondary looked so bad, I got caught up in the Reid enthusiasm.

Smith was an average quarterback who carved upped our secondary.  Blaming Luke for something Reid took blame for himself, crosses a line.  If the Reid cheerleaders continue to blame Luke for Reid  missteps, it is going to get a lot uglier in here.

Its early, this is Reid's preseason so I'll give him some grace.  But if each week ends with Reid claiming it was "Totally my fault", that is going to get old real fast.

I heard Luke was like the quarterback of the defense if so I can't imagine Tom Brady allowing his guys to look so bad smh COME ON LUKE get your head out of your butt

We blame Cam for Wr drops or LT missed assignments?  Who needs to get their head out of their butt?

I'm certainly no Reid cheerleader and I thought that TD might have been on Luke initially since he often carries the TE into the deep middle third.

Obviously Reid coming out and saying it was on him changes that.

omg guys a guy signed off his couch mid season hasn't made a memorable play in his first two games

god there are some very fragile honkeys on this board

Maybe he should have kept himself football-ready.  Part of being a pro.  But he was too busy being something else.

The “off the couch” excuse gets weaker week by week.

For the people trashing Reid, did you see Collin Jones against the Bengals?

The same Colin Jones who recovered the football in the endzone last week?  That is a game changing play.  Literally.  Hopefully Reid will show us one.

Nah, not angry at all.  I just put the on-field success of my favorite team before this week’s SJW hot issue.  Tepper likely signed Reid as a mixture of both, wanting to look good to all his fellow lefties, while at the same time signing a quality player.  Unfortunately for all of us fans, so far, Tepper has only accomplished the first half of that.  Reid has done very little on the field to warrant the amount of hype he got.

Funny how everyones pissed at him, when I caught flack for saying it might take him up to 6 weeks to get back into game shape since he literally came off the couch to play for us.

huddle gonna huddle.

clearly not the same people making those two arguments. everyone who favored signing him has thought he's been fine and knows he'll continue to grow into the role. it's the people with a political agenda who are having meltdowns and pretending he's been bad itt.

Yes, he is an excellent special teamer. He just doesn't belong on the defensive side of the ball.

You can't say anything one way or another about any player after only playing two games with a new team that missed training camp.

For those that said he should have kept himself in football shape - you can't replicate live games with practice and I say this from experience from being a former college athlete. I can't even imagine trying to replicate live action at the pro level.

Bull hockey.  Many players are able to come in and perform right away.  Sure, they may miss a couple plays but they are still able to show talent, something Reid has not done.  Look at AP, he bounces teams and still performed because he is a workhorse.  Reid looks like he was on that 1 day gym, 6 day protest/get with groupies off-season.
