Anybody else see the statistic FOX showed about us falling behind?

They showed that we haven't come from behind from multiple scores near the end of the game since 2004. Attribute that to our defensive minded head coaches. They have held this team back for over 15 years. For both Fox and Rivera, we never saw better play calling or a better team overall until we were forced to. I think it's time to move away from this type of coaching.

This isn't a defensive league anymore. Look at jacksonville, great defense but still a mediocre team because they can't score points.

Cam is not a come from behind Qb.  I have no idea why people think he is so great.  He’s an average QB that great defensive coordinators make look less than average.

He's an elite QB not average at all, but you're right that he's not one of the best come from behind QBs. His running is a huge part of his game and defenses typically don't need to account for it when they have a lead near the end of he game. I don't fuging understand why we didn't run the ball on that last drive. They were playing the pass and only the pass. Time wasn't a factor, we had plenty of time and timeouts and just needed to move the ball and get first downs and in the endzone. Partly on Cam and partly on playcalling. Was a disgusting loss.

Cam Newton is 14th among active QB's in game wining drives since 1960. How many game winning drives can you count that Cam fuged up on besides this one? I'll wait.

Care to guess the win % over the past 10 seasons for all teams trailing by 8 points or more entering the 4th quarter?

How about a guess on how many teams over the past 10 years have come back from multiple turnovers in the first half,  trailing by 14 or more points in the first quarter and carrying a double digit deficit to the 2nd half?

Don't run with crap stats from the broadcast to support an argument on why a defensive mindset loses games. An offensive minded HC does not just storm back to come close to winning a game they trail by multiple scores in the 4th quarter. Putting the team in a position to win the game at the end is all a HC can play for when trailing by multiple scores in the 4th quarter and the opponent is just sitting on the ball.

I have better odds playing a 2 number combination in roulette and winning than seeing any NFL team come back from a multiple score deficit in the 4th quarter.

The better stat to judge a coach by when it comes to trailing in a game is how well they have coached to limit the number of games they trail by multiple scores entering the 4th quarter.

Since 2011, the Panthers are the 5th best team in the NFL when it comes to avoiding a 2 score deficit entering the 4th quarter. While the Panthers have never won a game when trailing by multiple scores entering the 4th quarter under Rivera, 17 of the 25 teams that have won these games had to lose more of these games than the Panthers on their way to those 2, 3, or 4 wins.

If a team does not close a multiple score gap by the end of the 2nd quarter, the win is a long shot for any NFL team.

The damage caused by DJ Moore was too much for any coach to overcome. That is a risk a coach takes by featuring a rookie at a skill position.

There is only one team in the NFL that has been able to keep their multiple score deficit games entering the 4th quarter below 10 since 2011 - the Patriots. Belichick does not feature rookies at offensive skill positions for a reason. Belichick also has NEVER won a game his team has trailed by multiple scores entering the 4th quarter since 2011. His record with the Patriots in this situation is 1-34.
