Very few small white guys would play well in our offense, considering how much of a beating the QB is required to take.

Not sure why folks have to go the “white guy” route. People said that CMC wouldn’t be worth the pick because he was a “white RB.” Turns out that was garbage.

There has been uproar over comments on guys like Cam and Deshaun being “black QBs.” They’re both above average for their position.

Can we stop with the race in sports perspectives?

No.  I actually said, specifically, "small white guys" for a reason.

Most black QBs who become starters are huge.  Most white QBs are tiny by comparison, and there are VERY few white QBs who are athletic enough to survive the pummeling Cam has to on a regular basis.  This is simple fact.

Signed - Small white guy.

Not intending to make anyone butthurt.  Just looking at the players that are "typical" for the demographic.  CMC is an exceedingly rare case.  I'm simply stating that on average, black QBs are much larger than white QBs, and are much, much more athletic.  You're nuts if you think the Rodgers and Bradys of the world can absorb the punishment that Cam Newton does.

It's not a knock against white QBs.  It's just that in our specific offense, there are very few white QBs out there that would be successful.  Don't get triggered over nothing.

Race and size don’t have anything to do whatsoever with toughnessness. There are literally a million examples. Just like race and size have nothing to do with intelligence as some would say ‘athletic’ qbs lack ‘intellect’ to be a QB.

Idiotic statement.

    • That’s a book of the great life that the Panthers have had. So great to look back on the great players and seasons that we have had. But I think the book could have been twice the size. We have had a good 30 years, up and down the standings. i know we are in a bad spot right now, but hopefully before long we will be climbing back towards that Super Bowl championship
    • LmAO ..it does not make any sense whatsoever why a team that is currently 2-0 would  trade their backup Qb to a team that is 0-2 & in the same NFC conference ? & what is Seattle going to do if Geno Smith is injured ? wouldn't a team that is  currently 2-0 & is quiet  possibly going to the playoffs  want a decent plan B that already knows how to operate their system & has some form of chemistry with their players  , like I said before this is the NFL &teams especially ones like Seattle  are NOT going to trade their backup Qb 2 games into the regular season...just saying
    • Yeah, I can see that happening, but my only thing is, whoever he goes to, it's going to be a bad team. Not a whole lot of difference between us and say Denver, Jax, the Giants or the Colts. Of course, we're probably worse, but not by that much. Manning would have to pick his poison.
