CJ Anderson - should he be used more?

Against the Giants, CJ Anderson saw a grand total of 8 snaps, good for 11% of the total snaps. In a game that the Panthers lead most of the way, why wouldn't the teams "power back" not see more touches? It's been strange why CJ hasn't seen the field more. Granted he had a few bad plays against Atlanta, but otherwise he's done nothing but move the chains when he's been given the chance. Are they saving him for the stretch run at the end of the season?

He needs to be used more to keep defense's guessing.  They are going to start keying on him like they did Stewart last year anytime he was in and CMC was out, they knew we were running it and stacked the box every time.

I mean more frequently.  He should be on the field for 30 snaps a game.

Agree. But it’s tough when we’re trying to get 3 WRs on the field, and Armah some, and with Olsen returning more 2 TE sets. Torrey needs to be inactive. No reason to carry 6 WRs on game day.

This last sunday, I thought so.  CMC was part struggling to run, and the giants were also selling out to stop him.  I think bringing in CJ would have changed the priorities of the Giants defense (they wouldn't have keyed on him like they did on CMC) AND would have given a different look at RB.  If CMC is rocking and rolling like he was against the Bengals, no, if he's struggling to find room and the other team has keyed on him, sure why not because I trust CJ enough to get the job done.

While I agree with you, Norv's history is to stick with one guy for 80% or more of the work. Of course, it helps when that one guy is an Emmitt, LT or AD.

I would like to see him get more touches, and I'll also like to see CMC get more passes.  In the first two games CMC got a lot of passes, but lately there seems to be a concerted effort in not getting him the ball through the air.  They have to find a balance.
