MNF: Skins vs Saints

You have to give credit where it's due. Brees is a great QB and seems to be a good guy. The Saints are a very good team and will probably win the NFC. I don't hate any team....it's only a game and i appreciate good play and players.

I cried a few tears for Michael Jackson....was a huge fan of his during my childhood and it sucked.  Also recently I shed a couple for the youtube personality "Angry Grandpa"....loved that guy and his videos....he had a knack for making me laugh my ass off on many hard days of my life.

MJ doesn’t count haha. I also forgot about Angry Grandpa. Damn, now I feel terrible, I was just trying to be a smart ass.

Also, all those guys died, Brees just played a game, he’s still alive.

I gotta say... it is disheartening watching the Saints go for the jugular against opponents. You know RR would be calling HB dives the rest of the game up 13-6

IMHO, going for the juggler requires implicit trust in your QB to make the right reads, complete passes to keep the clock running, and avoid turnovers. Although it would never be admitted and justifiably so, I think that trust is missing from the Panthers brain trust. I think Sean Peyton has complete trust in Brees and is willing to pass to set up the run regardless of the situation. The opposite is true for Rivera. If he has the lead, his instincts will always be to run the ball, eat time off of the clock, and pass sparingly and the bigger lead, the greater that propensity will be. From his standpoint, it is that philosophy that got them the lead. Unfortunately, all too often this leads to too many three and outs

This is why the Panthers have so many close games. The Panthers have fared pretty well overall sticking to that philosophy. It is just not very sexy and , at times, extremely frustrating.

I stand corrected.  Horrible defensive performance by the Skins.

It's easy to look good on defense against the Colts and Cardinals (with bum ass Bradford at QB. They did well defensively against the Packers though.

That being said, they aren't a top echelon defense but they aren't as bad as they look now

They will fare well against bad teams, but do this poo against the Packers, Saints, Pats, or any other team that is good and you will lose more than you win

NFC South maybe.  But I don't think they would beat the Rams right now.
