The elephant in the room. Why is Torrey Smith still starting?

Moore breaks 3 tackles every time he touches the ball.

I swear his ability to break tackles and get YAC yardage is amazing. Dude was out there trucking LB's like he is a rb. We need to get him on the field more, our offense is struggling he and Samuel could be the answer to our problems.

I would even go as far as saying Moore and Samuel should be the starters. Funchess just doesn't have it in him to be a consistent threat.

Smith is actually a great 4-5th option on  a roster at this stage in his career.  Throw him out there when Cam is solo in shotgun and have him run a deep route.  That's how Philly used him last season and it was fine for them.

Funchess, Moore, Samuel, Wright should be the main dudes.

He's definitely not doing what we signed him to do.

Couldn't really justify his salary for what he's given us so far either.

While this is true, it was clear in the summer and that's when he should have been cut.

This

Everyone got caught up in him just simply because his name and saw him make 1 big play last year.  The guy was essentially their #4 guy last year they brought in and he ran a simple deep post.

There has been some people trying to defend and come up with excuses around.  Such as Moore isnt good vs press yet.  Well these people blatantly ignore that Smith's Big major weakness his whole entire career even coming into here has been his play vs press coverage.  He has struggled to get open and then when/if he does has really struggled to hold onto the ball.  He has shown Nothing more here than Russell Sheperd did last year, while we have 2 talented young guys who make plays when their nane is called, sitting on the bench

Wouldn't argue that. It's not like he was preseason MVP.

Despite his playing something like one whole series in the 2003 preaseason, John Fox felt supremely confident that naming Rodney Peete the starting QB was the right call.

Fox and Rivera have a lot more in common than I wish they did.
