WTF is wrong with our defense

Our CBs play 20 yards off the WRs and still get beat deep and our Safeties are always out of position or not playing deeper than the WR. They're not supposed to let anyone by them. Our CBs are mediocre and Adams is too slow to play catch up.

Old guys and rookies in the secondary, with Reid not yet up to speed.  I do believe we can and will get better there. 

Pass rush is middle of the Pack at best.  I hope we can get better there.

I know we have this narrative that the Panthers DC is a fast track to a head coaching job, but Washington is still learning the job.

Our pass ruch is no good. I like that we play our cbs 10 yards off the line of scrimmage in hopes of not giving up a big play, to give up big plays...not. Seriously our cbs should jam their wrs, one of the reasons obj kept getting those slant routes underneith.

We don't have a GUY at edge. Addison and peppers did good last year but it's obviously something we can't lean on like we thought.

Jackson got turned around just a little on the Russell Sheppard catch.  Washington my still be learning the job, but that wasn't on him.  Jackson didn't play the trick play well either.  He seems to be a good player, but still has a lot to learn.

Pay attention to where our secondary is looking on all those completed slants. Eyeing the QB. I don't give a damn what anybody says, you play defense with your eyes and you can't cover what you're not looking at. It's absolutely ridiculous. Every pick we've had has been because somebody was actually looking at the receiver that was intended and played the ball well when it got there. 

Tired of watching guys run right by our defenders while they're staring in the backfield.

I don’t watch film, so maybe someone who does can answer this question.  Was Starr better at eating up blockers than Poe?  It seems like offensive lineman are getting to the second level a lot more and the linebackers are getting caught up in the traffic including Luke.

Lack of discipline and a bunch of rookies playing like rookies. I'm just glad we got some turnovers today because it's going to be a long year if we give up all this yardage and can't even get turnovers. No one is afraid of a defense like that..
