It's time to put Torrey on the bench. Samuel, Moore, Funchess, and Wright should be our WRs. As long as those four guys are healthy, Torrey shouldn't even be getting a jersey on game days with Byrd also active for return duties.

Wanted to wait till the game was over to look this us up...

Torrey Smith has 7 receptions for 67 yards in four games as a starter (zero in this game).

Curtis Samuel had 2 receptions for 37 yards in this game alone, as a backup.

Both have scored one touchdown. Samuel's was way more impressive.

I'd add that Smith was supposed to draw the defense deep to open up the underneath.  I haven't seen anything to make me believe that opposing DCs are scared of Smith breaking a big one.

Torrey’s contract is guaranteed so just deactivate him on game days. He can still act as a vet presence / player coach on the sidelines.

He had them FRESH LEGS. That was incredible. That was some backyard football poo. That was fun.

 

I think Curtis is best for those short routes with designed blocks for him. Him and DJ and Byrd are great with open space and some blocks.

We wont be a feared playoff team until it’s Moore, Samuel, Wright starting.
