Lemon car

Our GMC Yukon Denali is not even 2 years old and had a ton of issues.  They had to take engine apart twice, order spare parts and now A/C died which is likely do to them screwing up electrical when they fixed the engine.  The car has like 25,000 miles and now the extended warranty guy will not return our calls as warranty runs out at 30,000 miles.  At what point does the car qualifies as a lemon?  It’s getting very annoying dropping car at dealership every two weeks as we have 3 kids who are still in car seats.  We got some major trips planned and we bought that car for that purpose but now we do not trust that car to make it to destination without something happening.  I figured when you pay $80k for a car, it will not break every two weeks.

Isn't GM's warranty 3/36, and 5/60 for powertrain?

That said, you will likely need to get an attorney involved to get anything done regarding lemon laws.

Have you looked at the lemon laws:

Looks like you need to go to the BBB and call the NC DOJ.

Thank you.  Apparently I have a bumper to bumper warranty until 120k Miles.  My a/c problem was just a leakage, they fixed it within an hour.  They told me we missed Lemon Law window by 1k Miles...  which is nothing if I decide to lawyer up.  They did offer to trade in my car for a newer one.  Savages lol.

They told me the same thing when I had an A/C issue. It's always, "ONLY 1,000 MILES OFF(so we did you a big favor, now buy the newer model!)"

Always the case lol.  When I had my Honda Civic few years back and my 100k miles extended warranty expired and I brought my car in for a service at 102,000 miles...  they told me my car is basically done due to required fixing coming to around $6k which all were covered by extended warranty.

And I want to see the pics of you, wife, 3 kids in car seats and all your travel gear packed into a fugging Prius.

Let us know how that road trip works out.
