[Rapoport] #Panthers TE Greg Olsen is in shells and a helmet today, per @PanthersBill. Word was he was hoping to play 4-5 weeks after breaking his foot, without surgery. This Sunday would be week 4 in what may be an impressive return.

Depends, he said in his interview the screw for stability was already in the foot from surgery, and depending on the severity of the injury we may be at a place where it's logical to return. I'm not a physician so I don't know. 

All you can do is trust the doctors, and what the player believes he can accomplish, but if X-Rays are clear, I don't see why you don't play him if he believes he can go. 

I've fractured my 4th and 5th metatarsals in each foot, it was right around this time frame I was able to play again, and this is obviously without NFL caliber rehab.

i would love to see him hurry back but it worries me a guy broke his foot again doing normal football stuff. i got my fingers crossed

So he will be back against the Giants? Hopefully he doesn't get hurt like Williams.

It’s incredibly unlikely he’s gonna be back for the Giants game but it’s looking like he might be able to make it back by the Eagles game with the Redskins game being unlikely but not impossible.

Pretty sure Ron already said he’s not playing this week,... But he may be back next week which is pretty amazing. Certainly don’t want to rush him though, he aggravated it when he came back last year...

He was listed as out but today would be the day to know because Friday is a walk through.

I really hope they limit his snap count. We need him to last the whole season and especially the two games with the Saints.

At the speed Olsen runs at does he even need his foot?

I love the guy but he needs to wait until he's fully healthy, our current TE's are blocking like crazy, opening up seams for our rushing attack.

I want him back, he just needs to be 100%...
