I just realized that a W this week gets us at .500 in the regular season as a franchise...

It is pretty cool, looking back at these past 23 years, to realize that a win this weekend puts us at 186-185-1 in regular season games.

Counting the post season, we're currently at .500 at 194-193-1.

Also, I think the 12/23 game vs. ATL works out to be our 400th game.

Just an FYI for today.

So you mean over .500, right?

No...

Your win percentage is wins out of total games.

We are currently slightly under .500 because of the one tie game.

A win this week and we have won exactly half of our total games.

A tie counts as .5 a win and .5 a loss.  We've won 185 games and lost 185 games.  185 + .5 = 185.5

A record of 185.5-185.5 is .500

Okay, even though it seems odd to me that you can be .500 with an odd number of games. I guess we'll be over .500 then with a W, which is even better.

You can if one of those games is a tie (RelaxImaPro is right about the math).

Counting playoff games, the Panthers ended the Jerry Richardson era at exactly 500 (192-192-1, I believe) so basically we are above or below 500 each week depending in our record this season.

Hopefully we end it above...
