That is like the world’s worst advice.

you should never read it. Offers nothing.  Just a distorted fake reality where people let the bad things out they wouldn’t usually have the balls to say in the real world.   Often because they don’t even believe what they say or care.  Just about the nonsense.

This was purely a FB move which is what the teams should focus on. They have Matt Ryan and Drew Brees to face twice a year in their division at QB with Julio Jones, Mike Evans, DeShaun Jackson, Calvin Ridley, and Michael Thomas at WR for their division foes. Pro Football is a business and if they start losing then they lose fans which then causes a drop in money. Economics will beat out anything else every time.

He better be careful as the Panthers and their fans stand for the anthem and respect the US Military.

I am a socially conscious African American who grew up with the 60s civil rights movement. And I am convinced that the protests which disrespect the nation's symbols, the flag and the anthem, are in direct contrast to the logic behind the success of the civil rights movement and will only further divide our society. Of course, the unlawful execution of anyone, including the black victims is a gross injustice and desperately needs to be remedied. But the trashing the flag and the anthem will do nothing to solve that problem. And the NFL is absolutely the wrong venue for these protests. The NFL led all professional sports, including baseball, in integration. It is ironic that it is being chosen as the victim in this affair, but it also demonstrates the level (or lack thereof) of as knowledge of recent American history by the protesters. Further, if Reid continues his protest with the Carolina Panthers, we will see how much harmony and unity this brings to the community, the team and the NFL.

EDIT: Since people are confused, the above paragraph is a yahoo comment, not me.

Tepper is a powerful dude.  Pretty sure Paul Allen is the only other owner worth more than him.

It is going to be a fun time for the Panthers over the next 5-10 years.  Even outside of the on-field product, Tepper has the money, sense, and motivation to add so much to the community.

That there is a good man and what he said is right and the NFL is the wrong venue for the protests.

I’m sure there will be some highly upset folks who are alerted he knelt....when they get back from pissing, with a beer cup balancing in the teeth, while wearing their hat in the bathroom while the anthem was going on...and were talking to there buddy at the next stall through the whole thing.

I feel like we just need Reid to play to his potential and help this team win.

Better avenues for him to express himself politically. And I say better by more effect. And by effective I mean get more people to listen than be divisive. That’s not an opinion, it’s an observation.

I haven't even considered the possibility that black players might go out of their way to sign here because they'd prefer Tepper as a team owner than anyone else. Hope that happens, although I'll never forget all the people that said every NBA player would want to play for Michael Jordan.
