Rhys Lloyd on his missed tackle

Yep, that's my point.

John Kasay a very classy man, no dobut about it, instrumental in much of Panthers history; but, we either a) need a punter who can kick-off too or B) a place-kicker who can kick-off.

An extra roster spot used like this, is a luxury this team cannot afford.

Until Kasey starts to miss it would be stupid to cut him but Baker has done nothing to impress me the last 2 years and he brings no added value other then punter. He takes too long to get rid of the ball (I cringe every time he gets the ball). We should have brought in a couple of UDFA or scrub punters and let them compete with Lloyd and Baker this off-season. But as you can tell in almost every aspect of the ball this FO knows not that to be stagnant in the NFL means certain death.

you guys are all stupid. do you know how hard it is to kick it 70 plus yards every time..he hits goaline atleast everytime on kickoff so thats pretty good if you ask me

if you are a part of Special TEAMS, you should be every bit as involved as everyone else on the field. not standing there like an idiot. If he can't tackle, he needs to go back to Enlgand and play soccer.

I want to know who out there you have seen playing KOS would have done a better job? He is right they are just not trained to tackle (but neither is anyone else on our ST it appears).

Yeah, that extra roster spot would be huge. We could keep a worthless 5th receiver or running back. Or maybe a 3rd string corner who would make 5 tackles per year on kickoff returns.

Oh how naive you are. Plenty of stars in the legue were at one time on the bubble. You never know if that guy you cut might develop into a great player.

thats not the point. no one is asking him to get a sack, interception a pass, or lay someone, its a matter of trying. Lack of effort seems to be a problem on this team. I'd rather him try and miss than to stand there doing nothing.

You just described every Kicker in the league pretty much. They are all nancy boys. Fact of the matter is if your Kicker has to make the tackle it is a failure on the ST not on him.

first off thats a problem if every kicker does it. and second its not true. several kickers try. If fact, some kickers run down the field instead of waiting for the runner to come to them. i've seen it plenty of times.

Name some. I know there are a few but 90% do not.

As long as Crossman is our STs coach I don't think anyone of them are actually trained to tackle.

That sums it up right there.

Did anyone notice that TB used the wedge on that play. 4 players were lined up in front of the KR guy. They didnt lock arms but I think you still call that the wedge.

u know the kickers names?? all i know is there are plenty of kickers that at least make an attempt to tackle, or at least run and fall to the ground pretending like they tripped. Make me believe that you tried.

Actually the best of them yeah (NFL is my life I know thats sad but oh well). I agree they should but they don't. The same way I think that all players should be happy to be payed 100k when they are payed millions of dollars (and complain about that) to play a sport most of us would play for little to nothing. It doesn't mean they are.

He is a soccer player first ,but can kick the hell out of a football. He could easily take Kasey's spot, but Richardson,as well as a lot of the fans would not like it,since he is the only one left from the Frank Howard Field days.He kicks field goals as good as he does kickoffs,as well as a very good punter, but with a rugby style.

Kasay is one of the most accurate kickers in the history of the league. No one can easily take his spot.
