Yep. Move those goalposts! Who cares about winning as long as your boy puts up numbers.

You just changed this from a Ridley vs. Moore thread to a Falcons vs. Panthers thread and you’re accusing someone else of moving the goal posts? The only way that argument is relevant is if you’re trying to argue which player is contributing more to the success of their team ..which makes no sense in this case. Virtually all of Moore’s production came in our one loss. You really need to stop rage-typing nonsense and actually try to form a single intelligent thought :Eyes_Emoji_42x42:

Not sure whats worst. Knowing we had a chance to draft Ridley and didn't or if we did he might be stuck riding the bench anyways. Not that Moore will suck but it was obvious who was the more polished receiver. We were a playoff team last year with wide receiver issues would have been nice to have more help now and not in three years. Seeing Ridley play so far like he has :(

Ridley has been much better than Moore so far...by a long way

Sometimes it take longer than others. Most people will tell you it is a 2-3 years for wideouts. Plus look at the numbers and out QB style. Cam get calls for passes but like to pull it down and run.

For some reason I think he'd be behind Torrey Smith.  Everyone knew Ridley had better route running

If Ridley were here he likely wouldn't be the player you see in Atlanta. Its a completely different offense with a different coordinator and a much better #1 target to draw the attention of opposing defenses. Ridley is better in his offense than Moore is in this offense, in the first quarter, of the first season, of their ideally long careers. Steve Smith wasn't the best WR in his draft class during year 1. Who cares? We haven't needed Moore yet so we can bring him along slower and the Falcons probably should have drafted a defender.

This is the same as the Kamara and CMC debate. Two different offenses. Panthers do not throw the ball 40-50 times a game and we have a conservative coach. The Panthers drafted Moore because of his YAC ability and overall upside.  Its important to see how he develops in THIS offense and not look down I-85 at an offense that is completely different.

You're right, it wouldn't have mattered which WR we picked. Ridley still wouldn't be on the field. Ron brings on players too slow at times and Moore being one of them. The snaps that Moore is getting are on BS playcalls. They barely ever send him down field. His route running is better than most people think. Yes it needs work, but is better than what some are saying. Hopefully after the bye we'll actually see more of Moore, and not bs plays doing reverses. Honestly feel he should be in Torreys spot until Samuel gets back. Samuel should definitely be our #2 receiver. Mixed in with Moore playing the position on some plays. Got this feeling Funchess might not be here next season

I agree with you,  I was saying WTF  are they having More doing last game,  most of what I saw was him running a bunch of fake reverses  not doing actual  route running

You practically tripping over your own feet to enter a thread and take the side of anyone I disagree with is the least surprising thing I've seen all day. That includes the Falcons once again choking.

What does the first part even mean lol. How does one properly enter a thread vs. tripping over their own feet? When you throw in little quibbles like that, you just sound bitter and defensive.

I take the side of intelligence and reason...if it seems like I’m replying to you a lot, then you should think about what that means for your posting content.

I said the entire time I wanted Ridley over Moore, that Ridley was the more polished WR and we were in win now mode.

That said, anyone making this topic now is premature. We chose Moore for his ceiling, not his floor. Ridley is more polished and is going to have a better rookie year. Moore has the potential to be better, but he's far more raw as a prospect and he's going to take quite a bit of time to develop. I expect him to have flashes the entire year, but I don't think he will truly get involved as a potential #1 WR until year 2.

There was another Panthers WR who primarily returned punts in his rookie year, did decent in year 2 and broke out in year 3. If i had been on an online forum, I am quite sure people would also have been making threads about how Steve Smith wasn't good because he wasn't playing much his rookie year.

What part of THE COACHING STAFF IS SIMPLY NOT USING MOORE do people in this thread not understand? Moore is a legit talent, we have seen it already. Unfortunately we have a coach that values experience completely over talent. This is nothing new, when Torrey smith is getting majority of the targets it isnt cuz the top rookie receiver in the draft cant beat him out. You will be hard pressed to find a rookie under Rivera that secured a starting spot on this team and it wasn't because of injury and depth.
