First, I'm a falcons fan, love me some Ridley,  and even I think the question is ridiculous.

And, 23 is not old.

Near his ceiling? Hardly. Give Ridley 3 years and he'll be a much better WR, ready to take over from Julio as a number 1.

And the Falcons fan comes in here with some dumb poo lol. Ridley is never going to be as good as JJ and he has had 3 years in a pro system so yes he's almost peaked.

So far Ridley has been balling Moore not so much. Did we pick the wrong guy?

It wouldn't matter who we picked, neither would have seen the field. Seriously, look at the track record. Funchess took like three years to come around, Samuel finally got in halfway thru last year and now this. KB really had no choice when he came on, we had no one else.

All I know is that if DJ Moore had a 150-yard 3 TD game in his 3rd game of his rookie season, we’d have 8 or 9 threads on how he’s a first-ballot HOFer lol. Now all of a sudden the Huddle is so calm and rational and is taking the “Wait and see” approach.

The Falcons lost when their rookie had that statline.

You're right, it wouldn't have mattered which WR we picked. Ridley still wouldn't be on the field. Ron brings on players too slow at times and Moore being one of them. The snaps that Moore is getting are on BS playcalls. They barely ever send him down field. His route running is better than most people think. Yes it needs work, but is better than what some are saying. Hopefully after the bye we'll actually see more of Moore, and not bs plays doing reverses. Honestly feel he should be in Torreys spot until Samuel gets back. Samuel should definitely be our #2 receiver. Mixed in with Moore playing the position on some plays. Got this feeling Funchess might not be here next season

What does that have to do with anything I said?? I’m just providing social commentary on the double standard on these boards. I’m not injecting my personal thoughts on who is/will be the better player, because I have no idea lol. But I’m very excited about Moore’s potential.

Mitch Trubisky played most of the games for the Bears last year.  Mahomes didn't play at all.  I don't think that really has any actual literal thing to do with who each team would prefer right now, 2 games into Mahomes career.

Steve Smith didn't play WR at all his first year here.

If you have a patience span of < 3 games for 21 yr old rookie development you're gonna have a bad time.

Kareem Hunt burst on the scene last year as a rookie, would you trade him straight up for CMC right now or are there circumstantial things like the Chiefs having injury problems, us leaning on J Stew and having a trash OC/etcetc etc etc etc

Remember in 2012 when people were comparing RG3 and Kaepernick straight up to Cam? In 2011, Jake Locker, Blaine Gabbert, Christian Ponder?

I have a feeling people arguing this type of thing aren't exactly going to see the light despite all of these circumstances.  Bless em.

I think it’s inexcusable for this staff to not have Moore on the field getting experience. That’s for damn sure. Especially after watching Torrey and Funchess with their drop issues. Very disappointing and frankly, infuriating the first rounder isn’t out on the field.

Luck also. Right now even though a lot people wanted him, most wouldn't  trade Cam for Luck.

I think its cause of the instant gratification society or social media at the finger tips. People just want to crown guys really early and want them to be hof level from day one. That's not how it works. Cam kinda started that with the qbs when he came in and had  probably the best rookie season of alltime. Most people at that time expected him to be the biggest bust over Jamarcus and ryan leaf.

Couple years back Goff was a bust and Derek Carr was a future mvp. Things come at you fast in the nfl. I would recommend waiting at least 4 years to judge these young guys.

Regardless of what Ridley is doing, you don't throw a rookie receiver in the trash bin after only 3 games. Especially considering said rookie nearly had 2 touchdowns against the Falcons including the possible game tying score covered by multiple defenders.
